While I won't address all Never Trump voters, Never Trump Republicans in the 2016 election completely disgusted me. They were willing to allow Hillary Clinton into the White House, with many claiming that they couldn't trust Trump to "govern as a conservative" due to his policy shifts over the years. What fools! The choice was an easy one. Vote for a woman who vowed to enact (and who has voted for such policies as a lawmaker) far left policies or vote for a man who was running on the promise to enact conservative policies.

The OP, like most trumpsters and Comrade Trump, try to paint socialism as a bad thing. The US has many programs that are defined as socialism and work very well for the masses. Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid are only a few. If you play into that capitalism boloney you are buying the bullcrap of the top 1% who want to keep you in the dark and being ripped off. These elitists are also paying a boatload of trolls to push their agenda, people and the false notion that socialism is communism. We now have a corporate run government whose only concern for the people of the US is to be used as debt slaves. Isn't post due that all the people of the United States should run the United States?

The only answer that serves everyone is democratic socialism.

The reason I ask this question because there's already been at least one mainstream talking head (Joe Scarborough) who admitted that he would vote for Trump if Bernie Sanders were the Democratic nominee, despite how much he loathes him and rails against him on his show. So I imagine he's not alone in feeling that way.
We already have many elements of socialism, so your questions, which implies that we don’t have any socialistic elements in our society, is already woefully flawed and ignorant of the facts. Trumpters have a hard time understanding complicated concepts because they are rather simple minded for the most part.

Did neither of you not read my subsequent replies (or any other replies) in this thread before responding to the OP?

It is interesting to see the results of the poll though. I notice some prominent "Never Trump" posters didn't respond.

Maybe because the poll itself is flawed and not worth answering?

The objective of the poll was made clear in my OP and subsequent posts.

But the two options is a dichotomy and still flawed. You can frame the objective all you want but that isn't even a bandaid on such a flawed poll.

Maybe all those Never Trump people want neither Socialism nor 4 years of Trump. For crying out loud, "Trump" isn't even a social or economic system... Trump is a person and even some of his actions can be seen as Socialistic.

Instead of blaming "Never Trump" people for non-participation maybe we should blame the one who created such a flawed poll... oh yeh.. that's you.

Like I said, the objective of the poll was made clear in my OP and my subsequent posts.

If you simply disagree with the objective of my poll, just say so. But that doesn't make it flawed.

It is flawed. period. Reasons pointed already... There are conservatives that no longer support trump but it would be against their ideals to support Socialism. What about them?

Just because you say it isn't doesn't make it so.
