Personally, I don't agree with Princeton research. Judging by our political landscape, where same families are in the power for tens of years - uninterrupted! - I would say, our political system is now aristocracy mixed with plutocracy. Same it was in Europe about 250 years ago. Good progress! But we still can be proud about our Constitution that nobody now reads and which is now violated in every possible way. Who cares, right?
You are FREE to leave any time. Good luck in finding a better country.
Hmm, you are mistaken... twice.
1) OP is not in US. He is in Europe. So, he cannot leave US, as he is not here.
2) US citizens are not free to leave. Even if someone denounces his/her US citizenship, US govt will rob him/her for 10 years after that with income taxes he/she will make even in another country.
You know, it's worth to do some fact-checking before reacting...

Reason: type-o
first fallacy, the US is responsible for 20-30 million deaths. that presumes that the us government went out with the intention of killing lots of people.
If you go out, have a few drinks, drive home, and hit and accidentally kill someone, are you still guilty? Of course you are...but wait, you didn't intend to kill that person...doesn't matter, you are still responsible for that person's death.
Same thing regarding the USA...we've interfered in countries all over the world since the end of WWII...we've overthrown popularly elected governments because they weren't friendly to US Corps and were too Socialistic, and then have supported evil dictators like Pinochet because of it...so no, we didn't maybe intend to kill all those poor people, but we bear the responsibility of their deaths...and that means we are not on the moral high ground.
What you are saying is what should be, not what happens in practice. The US can unilaterally attack any country simply because it is the most powerful force and a UN mandate won't change anything. Remember the domino effect theory. Dozens of countries were destroyed just for the simple fact that they turned communist.
And yes the US is constantly telling China to open up. They refuse and we have a trade war.
We have a trade war because our idiot in chief is stupid....that's all...we had no trade war with China until he came into office. yes we had a trade deficit because we like to buy cheap products instead of expensive ones.
So, I was reading this article on all those conflicts the US has provoked over the decades, the 20 to 30 million dead people and hundreds of million of injured people resulting from those US wars and schemes...
Funny, Hollywood is incessantly spitting out those trashy Marvel and other movies that, in their simplistic way, deal with good vs evil, and of course good always prevails.
But it's all just part of the facade of a rogue state, that started long before the current administration.
Even Pompeo admits it:
"MIKE POMPEO: But in terms of how you think about problem sets, I – when I was a cadet, what’s the first – what’s the cadet motto at West Point? You will not lie, cheat, or steal, or tolerate those who do. I was the CIA director. We lied, we cheated, we stole. (Laughter.) It’s – it was like – we had entire training courses. (Applause.)"
Makes me wonder, are Americans in denial or do they simply not know or care about their governments', or rather regimes' rogue actions decade after decade? Or even worse, do they support them?
As it says in the link above:
"It is essential that Americans learn more about this topic so that they can begin to understand the pain that others feel. Someone once observed that the Germans during WWII “chose not to know.” We cannot allow history to say this about our country. The question posed above was “How many September 11ths has the United States caused in other nations since WWII?” The answer is: possibly 10,000."
The tripe you say. Good thing is, nobody, but NObody, is buying it.
Indeed, Venezuela would already be recovering without the sanctions. The UN also said that the US sanctions are largely to blame for the humanitarian crises in Venezuela. Meanwhile the US-backed parallel president of Venezuela seems to be involved in the embezzlement of $3m.
Sure, go ahead, shoot the messenger and stick your head into the sand
"The UN also said" Who gives rats arse WHAT the UN says?
