Another SCOTUS win for Trump leaving the lower court ruling to stand on allowing steel tariffs !!!

So often we hear Trump can't do anything right or no matter what he does it has to be wrong but the SCOTUS disagrees on that !!!

Supreme Court rejects challenge to Trumpís tariffs on imported steel

The decision, which the justices did not immediately comment on Monday, will leave in place the U.S. Court of International Tradeís ruling from March that allowed the presidentís tariffs.

Its good to have a president working for the American people. And a Supreme Court dedicated to the rule of law.

Well, ultimately, it's not up to the Supreme Court. The WTO is The Decider in such matters, should a foreign nation choose to sue the US over steel tariffs. IMHO the WTO was one of the world's worst creations.

The WTO does not supersede U.S. law, Supreme Court decisions etc. in this country.

It's becoming clear that the people who constantly denigrate or bash Trump, are the ones who can't get anything right.

The WTO can require the US to modify its trade practices to conform with WTO standards (to which the US is a signatory nation), and enter into negotiations with the complainant, if the situation comes to that. The WTO can also require a nation to offer compensation for income and jobs lost due to a continuing tariff. There is an appeals process that can be pursued as well, to challenge the WTO panel's original decision. The US can cede jurisdiction to the WTO, as it did at one stage of the lumber dispute with Canada that began in the early 80's.

Oh good, I am so glad. The more tariffs Trump imposes, the more he will ruin the economy. Smoot-Hawley II here we come!
