The guy was here in the states legally but he has had numerous run ins with the law for drunk driving and drug use. I heard that the Police went to his residence and found drugs.

I am married to an immigrant and she has great respect for her green card and America. Perhaps she is from the old school but she realizes that if she breaks the law she could lose the privilege that America has granted her to live here. This doesn't seem to be the consensus for some of today's green card holders that go on to break law after law and take advantage of our gullible generosity toward immigrants while Liberal judges give them a slap on the wrist and chance after chance.

I wonder if it is time for a 3 strikes and you are out law in this country. If you are granted a green card and you go on to commit crime after crime then by the third one you lose your Rights and you are deported. I'm not advocating for casual crimes to count but serious ones such as drunk driving, assault, rape, drug use, drug dealing etc.. Why would we want to keep habitual criminals living among us if we had the option to cancel their legal status?

If this guy was gone after his third run in with the Police there would be 7 families today that are not grieving for their loved ones that were so senselessly killed.

What do you think?
If I were cop I ll taser the drunk drivers . Legal or illegal.

So typical of you to bring your anti immigrant sentiment. What if he was born here?

Sorry but to me one strike is one too much as I had to go through background checks, compliance with the law, -ay fees, and travel in and out to stay in compliance.

I expect the same from everyone else.

When I hear that illegals pay housings to criminals to come here then they can pay legal fees to come here legally!

When coming to our country as a guest and seeking residency, three strikes and you're out is two strikes too many for me. Immigrants should be on their best behavior or loose the privilege of coming here.

All of you except for Dane_in_LA are just plain ignorant.

Legal immigrants have always been deportable when they commit crimes.

It's amazing how a thread about Legal Immigrants quickly dissolves into rants about "illegals" by the xenophobes here.
You guys just can't help yourselves can you?

Maybe they "have always been deportable when they commit crimes", but it certainly hasn't been happening. This incident referenced by the OP is a perfect example.

Wait a second, you're saying there is a difference between the two? Now we get to call your a racist hater of immigrants.

Heck, you even used the word that shall not be used in " "...that confirms it.

Careful swingin' that xenophobes thing around that glass house.

Passing another law is surely going to fix that!
