Thomas Sowell is a national treasure. He's been dismantling liberalism and leftist ideas for decades now. He called out the phony gender wage gap decades ago, even though Dems still try to bring it up.
The pandering of the {D} s is way over the top and is sickening. Deep down most people know that reparations for slavery is not going to happened even if the {D}s controlled both Houses and the POTUS. If by chance it did get voted for no doubt the next election cycle the {D}s would be voted out of office in droves.
The woke black American conscious types only care about themselves. They don't care about the outside world. Why should the pro black care about black folks on other countries? I tell pro blacks, while you guys cry about Russian meddling in the 2016 elections. Do you know that united states meddles in the elections of other black and brown countries. All you hear is crickets.
The pro black only cares about thier position and their lot in thr American frame work. Yes I can agree that slavery has long lasting affects and social problems they reverberate today. However, black folks benefit from America being number 1 global power on earth. In matter of fact, black America help out America as a global power. The pro black does not care about slavery going on in Africa. Also the woke pro black never mentions slavery as a labor problem, and only mention slavery as a form of white supremacy. Both the white liberal and the pro black fail to denounce international slavery but have an issue of slavery in the west even though the west stamped out slavery in the past 130 years and beyond.

When he argues about "the culture" being the source of Black America's evils, folk on the so-called right eat it up! I thought economists measure economic activity. But it doesn't matter to folk on the so-called right, that an economist is bringing up a non-economic term, that can't be measured!
He’s correct, of course. Part of the issue is that the decedents of slaves are in a more powerful position than current slaves. Maybe some politician ought to start offering to use the money being proposed for reparations based on ancestral slaves to help combat and end current slavery practices instead.

I wonder why Sowell isn't making any noise about it? I guess because there is no money to be made denouncing it, and no political advantages to be gained..............at least until Trump "falls out of love" with Kim.
