Would it have gotten this far if Obama would have acknowledged it? Oh, wait Obama did, he told his IT staff to stand down.....

and you really think that would stop russia from meddling in our elections? please get real. pull your head out of the sand and take a good look around. this is not the 1940s where buying time on the radio and tv and buying full page ads in the newspapers was the way to go.

today its social media, and you dont need to have anything more expensive than a smart phone and a twitter account, and the world can easily involve themselves in an election.

He should've told him he'll have more flexibility after the election.

good for him, it is a joke.

Putin doesn't control our democracy, business industry does.

But Americans would rather fight a fictional Russian threat than face the reality of their 'democracy'.

So True. I heard the clip and Trump said to Putin don't meddle. I didn't think he was being sarcastic or joking but some will hear what they want.

What did Russia really do in 2016? They bought some ads on social media, they spread some lies, fake news, they supposedly paid for a pro Trump rally in NYC while on the other side of town paid for an Anti Trump rally. They did not change any votes. They did not hack in to voting machines.. Obama assured us they could never do that.. Supposedly they attempted to cast confusion and doubt on the Presidential election process and guess which party has been carry that message and beating it to death since Trump was elected? They have been doing such a fine job of destroying Trump that Putin must be very happy.

Get over it people. Hillary lost because she was a baggage laden candidate that promised more of the same lousy policies that Obama started and worse. Trump ran a brilliant campaign and he deserved to win.

So you say he at least acknowledged it? That means he trusted his own intelligence agencies. That's two things that Trump didn't do. So Obama did more than Trump did.

You hit them back harder. Trump is not afraid of Russia he is afraid of Putin. I would be too. He shouldn't have gotten himself tangled up with Putin.

Oh, come on, prior to the 2016 election, the Internet did not have the capacity to be infested with bots and false flag posters that were not screened out, nor were there troll farms in St Petersburg and in other Russian locations. 2016 brought forth deliberate Russian interference on a scale previously impossible, and we were not prepared to deal with it effectively.

Putin's illegal invasion of Ukraine and interference in Ukraine's government were a blueprint for what happened here just two years later. Same techniques, minus actual little green men invading us.

Those who think this is okay or who keep spouting, "we did it, too" are defending the indefensible and I question their patriotism and loyalty to our country and democracy.

Putin and Trump. The magic is in the air when a wannabe authoritarian meets his tyrant hero and mentor. And again those secret never transcribed conversations. The fix is in and no one even seems to care.
