Apple Moves Mac Pro Production to China

The $6,000 desktop computer had been the company’s only major device assembled in the U.S.

I hope we see a reaction out of Trump.

I don't think that you'd get argument that Democrats have ruined California as a place to manufacture computers. The factory that will lose the business is there.

Why are Democrats so gleeful to see the United States and the American worker fail? You seem quite happy about it.

Why

Read the article. We're talking about near minimum wage people who have no sense of ownership with regards to the product they manufacture. Sales are wound down on the original and they were down to a skeleton crew.
If not China, perhaps Ireland. So says the article.

Crews walked out when the bell rang, even if production was running.

You cannot get good help in America if your "average salary" is $30,276. That's $15/hour.

Trump should remain quiet on this issue. Let Dems scream themselves hoarse if they think there is an issue. Meanwhile there are more jobs advertised than there are people to work....

Maybe they should.

Wrong! The factory that builds them is located in Texas:

Apple moving production of U.S.-built Mac Pro computer to China
Quote:
The Mac Pro model had been manufactured by contractor Flex in Austin, Texas, since 2013 as part of a $100 million commitment that CEO Tim Cook trumpeted in a national television interview.
Furthermore, if it was just an issue of the state they were manufacturing it in being too expensive, they would just move production to a different state. The fact they're moving it out of the country altogether tells you that production anywhere in the US is too expensive.

Well, that sure screws the argument up.

Fail
Why didn't they move to another part of the US then?
It is all smoke and mirrors.

Another win for shareholders and the finance sector.
How much you want to bet the savings will not be passed to the consumer?

The prices will remain the same and the sharks on Wall Street will rake in the money.
