I agree that kids shouldn't be separated but the big question for me is what has changed? Why was it OK when Obama's team was separating kids? To his credit Bernie was the only one back then who said it was wrong.

Haven’t seen that question answered yet by any of our leftist morons.

My Opinion:
Kate Cronin-Furman, an assistant professor at University College London.
Seems Like another indoctrinated left wing socialist sympathizer stirring the pot
while living behind a fortified campus paid by the capitalists dollars that she so despises.

Hahaha. Encouraging people to harass law enforcement officers. Sure, ya big dummies ... go hit up the CBP officer eating McDonalds on his dinner break. Knock yourself out. See what happens.

We should do the opposite and publicly name all known illegals so we can turn ALL legal citizens into volunteer ICE agents.

Imagine living in a neighborhood where some drug dealing loser is raping women and beating up people. The Police come, arrest the low life, it is then found out that he is illegally in the country so great right that means ICE will pick him up and deport him and the neighborhood won't have to deal with him anymore... WRONG the very same party that is asking for your vote just prevented that fine young man from being deported which means he will be hanging out causing trouble again.

The Border agents and ICE are there to help people.
Problem is the same across all employment. The bad eggs who get out of line and commit crazy shyte get on the news. Those other thousands keeping the USA safe do not. Nobody even know what all they do. They have a news person who does communicate when a bad apple is found and gives a public announcement. Many of them want to do their jobs, but not in agreement with all that’s coming down the pipes. A few spoke to the media, but that can cost them their jobs.

If you think that's it's misguided, why not just say so? Why direct your fire at other people who think it's misguided??

And for the record, no, it certainly is not just this one writer's opinion. A look at the comments selected as "NYT Picks" makes it clear that the editorial staff of the paper supports the columnist's view. And judging from the top "reader picks", a majority of NYT readers do as well. Face it, your fellow liberals have gone to a strange place.

If NYC was near the border, NYT wouldn't write a piece like this. Most immigrants in NYC come by plane or drove up the interstate once they gotten into the US. That's why NYC doesn't understand border problem.
