It’s actually possible to not abide political Correctness and STILL not go around offending people. Most of us have been doing this all of our lives.
It’s simple...just don’t be an a-hole. I know that’s difficult for some people but they should try it sometimes. If you do that, folks don’t mind if you make an honest mistake.
But when you’re a jerk who perpetually looks for a way to purposely offend people because you have some sort of weird pride in being a straight talker, you end up pyssing people off. Then you get yourself in trouble.

Some people will constantly find ways to be offended, because that puts other people on the defensive, and also draws attention away from any of their own faults or shortcomings. I don’t even think most do it on purpose...it’s just instinctual.
Like most things, it becomes a more significant problem when political power is introduced. It’s absurd when hurting someone’s feelings or being insensitive are seen as criminal acts.
and here in lies the big problem with political correctness, you cant ever not hurt someone feelings, even by accident. and if you hurt the wrong person feelings, they can make a big case about it, you end up in trouble in a variety of ways.

He will offend both sides, although moreso the right. I think he's very funny. He doesn't mean half the stuff he says since it's for laughs. One show he'll go one way and another show a different way.

The word is Latin in origin and has been in use for 2,000 years. If people are offended, that's just too damn bad.
If people living in ghettos focused on cleaning up the ghetto and cooperating with police and not tolerating gangsta behavior then nobody would call it a ghetto.
How said is that people got nothing better to do than fight over words? If they devoted as much time and energy into fixing problems, there wouldn't be any problems.
A person can make an un-PC comment without any ill intent or even realizing it. That's part of the issue. We see this all the time in the media. A famous person makes a comment that offends someone, somewhere. Then they are forced to "apologize" for their "insensitivity.' Never mind the fact that a forced apology isn't a real apology, anyway. And also it certainly doesn't appease the offended group who still hold onto their grudge.

People who complain about political correctness, especially the most rabid and maniacal ones, are just aggrivated that they can't no longer make fun of certain people historically looked down upon without consequence (not just the usual diversity categories). That even includes people with neurological or learning disabilities (academic, social skills, speech, etc). At the end of the day, Political Correctness is basically old fashioned good manners expanded to include historic out-groups. Nothing more, nothing less (PC is not Afrocentrics who claim Greece stole inventions and Mathematics from Africa, nor is it about people wishing ill on members of historic in-groups. The former is just "woo", the latter is just petty vengeance or extremism).
PC or non-PC are both styles and have NO substance in and of themselves, who cares?
You only have to politically correct if you are from a non-protected group. Take straight white males for example. You can bash them all you want, say there are the root evil of society and should be banned, offer Angry White Males classes, etc. and that is all okay. Say it about another demographic group and then it violates the SJW bible of political correctness.
