Hard to discuss any of this without some kind of context.

And the fact that this is something the Trump administration and fans are using to dismiss concerns about the humanitarian crisis at the border suggests a disconnect or lack of empathy, or compassion or humanity.

It isn't the number of cases, it is why and how and in what context.
Please don’t confuse the RWNJs with common sense.

I posted this last week but it fits here as well. In May, BP intercepted 11,507 minors traveling alone.

The dem policies encourage illegal crossings.
What killed them was greed and selfishness not desperation. Most logical Americans are smart and know most of these so called asylum seekers are only coming here to steal our tax dollars. That’s just the cold truth. Accept it or not.

Now the word is out that we’re giving away free healthcare and decriminalizing illegal border crossings; expect more people and more deaths. Thank the Democrats.

Strange how you would never know that based on the reporting from our MSM "news" sources. If you listen to CNN or read WAPO, you'd think no illegal alien ever died before Trump was in office. Same with the whining and crying over the poor criminals from those in the Democratic party. Why is it that both the MSM and the Dem party lack the ability to tell the truth and be honest with the American people? Can't they ever, just once, report instead of manipulate?
So Obama did do something good.

Yes, in fact you are. The RWNJ support sending billions to Israel while the extreme left wants to give illegals more than they should receive.

Israel is a defacto US State in an otherwise hostile region of the world.

I am not a fan of giving aide to Israel, but I understand that "aide" is basically a backdoor weapons deal wherein the Israelis turn around and buy from American defense contractors.

So there's something given in return for the aide (not to mention collaboration on the huge amount of innovation that comes out of Israel in terms of tech, pharma and science).

Compared to the US tax payer being bled dry to raise the kids of Latin Americans (and their parents!) in exchange for the continued ire, disrespect and exploitation by those same people... and the cost-benefit analysis isn't even close.

He was much tougher at the border; deporting illegal immigrants and separating families than Trump, but didn’t get the media coverage (for good political reasons). It’s well known here in AZ, Obama was a cutthroat when it came to illegal immigration. I can remember a few protest over the years here about his border cruelty.

You won’t hear any of this on Liberal MSM.
