The Capitol Fourth celebration is a wonderful event. This American watches it every year just as I watch the Memorial Day event.
It was good enough for every other president since it’s inception, but not good enough for Trump.
And, apparently not good enough for those who support a campaign rally at the Lincoln Memorial on Independence Day.
I remember the Bicentennial celebration. I attended the big event in NYC.
There was no politics, no campaign rally, no us vs. them instigated by the sitting president.
We were all Americans.
It’s absolutely deplorable what Trump and his supporters find acceptable now.

What a difference...by orders of magnitude...but keep thinking it's a valid comparison. Estimates of $64 million dollars, SO FAR, of just his trips to Mar-a-lago..that's $3.5 million per trip.
Not even saying it's billed on the taxpayers while dollars return to his business...
No the blimp is grounded because Trump wants the planes to fly over. The airport will suspend flights for a few hours as well. It's just ridiculous.
Yea but it was OK when the Obama's caused all kinds of problems in Hawaii when they vacationed there. It was horrible for us little people.
