You found it odd? I'll explain...there was no news coverage because no news channel wanted you to see what was actually going on...a hugely successful event and an inspiring speech Celebrating America.
Now, don't you feel silly?
I'm sorry to hear that.
I'm sorry to hear it because when it becomes quite clear that the news channels will be the judge of what the people will and will not see, then I have no further use for them.
Now, of course, around here, I am known for having sworn off TV anyhow.....but with behavior like this, I doubt very much that anything will ever bring me back.
Flags everywhere yesterday in my neighborhood!
Never seen so many flags out on the fourth before.
People want to feel good about America again — the Dems have gone overboard trying to trash our
country and people are sick of it.

Oh, no; the whole thing was carried on the CTV News Channel up here in Canada. I watched it, in its entirety.
There was commentary, of course: "Why is he going on about the military constantly? The contributions of the US military in the Vietnam War, which the US lost? What about slavery, taking the land from Native Americans, denying blacks civil rights in the 1960s, the fact that the United States and the military that he is promoting showed up late to both World Wars...."
No, the international media carried it. Maybe not with the message you'd like, but it was carried internationally.
“With a single sheet of parchment and 56 signatures,” Trump said, “America began the greatest political journey in human history.”
Too many have distorted or forgotten the words of the Declaration of Independence. In our defense of liberty, we cannot abandon the text's core principles.
If you haven’t listened to Trumps salute to America speech, it is really well done.
He delivers it perfectly and I learned some of the compelling moments of history I hadn’t heard before.
Bravo to the parents who brought their children to hear it.

Why was a supposed celebration of America's independence turned into a big DC military rally? There are already two federal holidays for veterans. Today should have been a day to celebrate our nation's founding and its principles. The show in DC was not really that.
He stayed on script with his speech but it rings rather hollow with Trump making the delivery surrounded by a buffer of military, wealthy donors and supporters with MAGA hats and Trump 2020 signs. I thought this wasn't supposed to be about politics, and why do we need him of all people telling us about our great history and preaching about unity in a 47 minute speech.
