Considering it WAS these WHITE men who crested the greatest country in history.....!

Actually, slaves hauled the stones that "crested" the Capitol Building in DC....so you are correct, they were under the whips of white men. I doubt many women were running those crews.

The Founding Fathers were special people, and if we had lost the revolution would have paid with their lives. They knew this, being wealthy men, they had everything to lose, yet risked it all. 1776 was a bad year for the Revolution, and we almost lost the war several times, and really just hung on by a miracle. Then eventually the French helped us, and we were able to beat the British enough that they gave up.

Not sure it's all that simple...

The Constitution was written and ratified by white men, many of whom owned slaves, but it has always been subject to amending.

For this reason, the question posed by the OP is actually a modified version of the Ship of Theseus paradox.

In this case, generations of the politically empowered are replaced one-by-one instead of boards.

The willingness of each to live under our Constitution during their lifetime temporarily transfers ownership of the Constitution to those living at the time.

There is no Founder's Constitution.

There is only the surviving Constitution.

That Constitution is the one that those of us living in the present moment accept, and that makes it new with each generation.

Which is another why we should destroy DC and rebuild the capitol in the middle of the country.

Well, the original construction and theory was that our STATES would be our Primary governments, and not the Federal Government which was supposed to be the weak sister to the states and just do a few necessary functions. The theory being that we were closer to our state capitals and could hold our representatives accountable by getting in their face. Obviously, it has morphed into a huge, over controlling, overly powerful monster since the Civil War and Lincoln.

"They knew this, being wealthy men, they had everything to lose"

And MOST of them DID lose everything!

Besides they SMART enough to put a provision in the Constitution to CHANGE IT.

If anybody wants to change it, there IS a way.

Use it or suck it up and QUIT all the WHINING!

Our Founding Fathers shared a common belief in God............................

Yet they chose not to incorporate that belief into the Constitution.
