You totally misunderstand.
Market forces have nothing to do with anything. Your government has zero desire to control oil.
What your government desires is
to control the point of sale of oil, and natural gas, and coal and metals and minerals.
Learn and understand the difference.
It is absolutely imperative that resources be sold on the global market in US Dollars.
That's why you're in the Persian Gulf.
The other reason is that you're going to invade Iran at the first opportunity, regardless whom you elect as President.
Why?
I just told you why.
To control the point of sale of oil, natural gas, coal, metals and minerals.
The Chevron-Amoco Consortium -- formerly the Chevron, Amoco, British Petroleum and Union Oil of California Conglomerate (before Chevron bought UNOCAL and Amoco bought BP) -- owns 75% of the rights to the oil, natural gas, coal, metal ores and non-metallic minerals in the 5 Central Asian States. Total, a French company and Gazprom, a Russian company own the rest.
Right now, China is building the longest natural gas pipeline on Earth from Kyrgyzstan -- one of the 5 Central Asian States -- to China.
Do you seriously believe China is going to sell that natural gas on the global market in US Dollars?
If you believe that, you probably believe in Unicorns and the Easter Bunny, too.
China will sell that in Chinese currency or a basket currency, but not in US Dollars.
Does the Chevron-Amoco Consortium care? No, because profit is profit, but your government does give a damn.
Oil from Kazakhstan -- another one of the 5 Central Asian States -- is running through a Russian pipeline to the Black Sea.
Do you think Russia is selling that in US Dollars? Nope.
Does the Chevron-Amoco Consortium give a damn? Nope, because profit is profit, but the US government gives a damn.
The US government wants those pipelines running from the 5 Central Asian States through Iran built by Haliburton and Baker-Hughes and other US-based oil-service companies and sold in US Dollars.
Except the US doesn't have control of Iran....at least not yet.....wait for it.....watch what happens.
