I hope this doesn’t come back to sting him next election.

I agree. Apparently the motive was the usual divisiveness and derision of anyone who is not hard left.

I don't think Trump supporters care about a meaningful conversation on these issues. That's why Trump knows he can do this. They don't understand why it matters and they don't care. By the time Trump is gone, the damage will be huge.

Where are the protests by Trump supporters? Where are the FOX news stories showing what a huge mistake this is? They don't care. It's not more complicated than that, they don't understand and they don't care. Trump's people said no budget for it, yet he found $5 million to pose in front of tanks in a matter of minutes. The GOP is about as anti-environment as it gets but letting the bee population die is full on insane.

You could have just started a thread talking smack about Trump supporters, you know. You didn’t need to go through the guise of giving a crap about honeybees yourself just to create the opportunity.

So damn transparent. And pathetic.

Very short-sighted but of course Trump voters don't grasp why that matters. Trump is basically letting the pesticide industry run amok and not allowing that to be discovered by not recording the impact.

"The Department of Agriculture (USDA) quietly announced it was suspending its survey on bee populations following the Fourth of July holiday, pausing data collection for one of the few remaining government sources tracking bees and their rapid decline.

Bees pollinate a third of U.S. crops and are considered a “canary in the coal mine” for gauging how human activity affects the environment. Now, after years of declining bee populations, researchers and the federal government will have fewer tools to study the species."

Critics worry Trump turning blind eye to honeybee decline

The GMO crops are killing the bees, butterflies, birds.
Thank Monsanto.

When the honeybees, our most important food pollinators, started dropping like proverbial flies, scientists scrambled to identify their killer (or killers). Attention eventually turned to the increased use of a class of pesticides known as neonicotinoids. Scientists now believe at least some of these pesticides play a major role in Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), the ongoing demise of honeybee colonies

Monsanto wants to replace the bees they are killing with genetically engineered flying ants

So how do Trump supporters justify this decision? How about that?

I don’t know. Why don’t you behave like a grown adult and actually ask one how they feel, rather than this foaming-at-the-mouth charade you have going on here?

All four studies have been canceled since Trump took office. But by all means, call studying the decline of honeybees a waste of time.
