He's not a man. Anyone who deserves to be called a man does act that way and steal from fellow Americans at a bogus university. That has to be explained to you? Where and how were you raised? Sad for you that you consider a spineless slimy worm your standard bearer.

And you and the Left think that the only people who voted for him and will vote for him again are those who you consider his "base" ?

Lol......that's cute.

But hey, you keep on believing

That's not what you have to worry about.

What you need to worry about is that everyone running on the left, save Joe Biden is seen as a far left nutjob by Mom and Pop America.

And Joe is going to have a hard time winning the primary without pandering to the far Left SJW base.

Joe's the only one who can beat Trump in the states that you have to worry about.

But he'll never win the primary, especially if Bernie or someone else decides to run as a far left independent socialist etc.

But then the alternative is Donald Trump. The Democrats could nominate a serial killer and still run a competitive race.

Hahahahaha. The OP is made up. Nobody from the Trump election is quoted. No evidence that any of it its true.

But this is very real. I get why the Trump haters would rather be here, than there.

I have heard a couple 'expert ' talking heads say The dems could get anywhere from 5-12 million more vote than Trump and still lose.

The guy never pivoted. This is not like reality TV (or professional wrestling) where the formula does not change. Up until the present all US presidents have tried to reach across the aisle and meet their fellow citizens half way or part way wherever possible.

In the real world, when a person wants to be president for all Americans that person has an obligation to listen to all of the constituents and try to meet with their concerns in a straightforward and evenhanded way. Trump does not believe in this, so he doesn't do it.

People do not need to get 100% of their wish list, in fact they would not expect it, but Trump does not reach out to them and they (by now) all know it.

The leopard never changes his spots ...

It might be a sad fact, but I don't think it's really possible to be a president to all Americans anymore.

We've become too divided.

You have to pick a side.

Them or us.

Yet Trump goes out of his way to alienate large segments of the population with gratuitous insults and hate filled rants. Some see this as a brilliant strategy of shoring up his base. I see it as Trump shooting himself in the foot. The economy is strong. Markets are up. Business is good. Trump should be riding high but can't reach even 50% approval rating. Why do you suppose that is?

Exactly. This points to what I mentioned earlier in the thread. There's really nothing Trump can do short of giving every American a brand new Buick filled with puppies and kittens that's going to increase his approval rating. Right now he's riding as high and has the greatest political advantage as he is likely experience for the remainder of his term. Conversely a downturn in the economy, an armed conflict overseas or some flavor of scandal (of which there are many where he's very vulnerable) could dissipate whatever goodwill he's managed to build with folks outside his base in a flash and there's plenty of time before the election day for some politically crippling event to occur.

It seems clear he has no interest in building a backstop should things go gunny-sack. Even worse for him is should he make a spin and chill on the divisive rhetoric he runs the risk of chawing off his beloved 35%. Therein lies the error of being a leader who fails to be inclusive.
