Yes, the lack of basic logic here is astonishing to me.

I watched the two dim debates and my mouth was on the floor, decimalizing illegal border crossings and benefits for illegals. I'm like jeez, what the hell is going on here. I've said before if that is the future of the Dim party then I'm done with those losers.

All depends on the candidate that is picked and how persuasive they are. After Obama and Trump anything is possible, as its clear Americans are just waiting for something to stick to the wall.

Perhaps we should change out the congress instead of waiting for a miracle at the presidential level. Well I guess the Tea Party tried it but ended up electing a bunch of folks that were clueless. Politics is just a game show lately, few do it to pass good legislation, seems more of a avenue to the good life after office. Joe Scarborough spend 3 effective years in congress and made a 20 year TV career out of it.

More voters are expressing disapproval with both parties than at any time since their inception while third party/unaligned voters have never been more common.

Moreover, the disapproval numbers you mention are not unique to Trump.

In fact, they are comparable to Obama's.

What you are trying so desperately to make into voter disapproval of the Trump presidency is actually rejection of the self-serving two party system.

A third-party worker's alternative the D's and R's would have strong appeal with working Americans, and Trump comes close to filling that role.

Mooches, both rich and poor, will not approve of someone that doesn't push slavery-lite on the working class while paying lip-service to taxing the wealthy, so the disapproval, in this case and for that reason, will be high.

Me?

I'm supposed to keep my head down and my shoulder to the wheel so that the greedy-rich, non-working and aggrieved classes can collect the fruits of my labors...no thanks.

Like so many other working Americans, I voted for Trump because I like his policies.

I would like him even better if he would shut the **** up and stay off twitter, but that isn't an option.

The other option for someone like me is vote for someone that advocates for policies that screw me in every way imaginable...again, no thanks.

Big surprise, but it's good for a laugh. Meanwhile, back at the ranch, some are complaining about how the poll was conducted. Uh, that'd be....their own poll.

Liberal clowns are so amusing!

Indeed- this is great.

The far left only plays to a very small sliver of Americans. The dems are driving mainstream America away from its ranks.

AOC and Omar have been the best thing to happen to the republican party in years. Pelosi has lost control of them and they are the new face of the dem party.

The dems sense a weakness with the current president and many are convinced they can beat him no matter what, so they are letting their real agenda shine through. It seems extreme but what they are proposing now has been their end game all along. They've decided they have no need to hide it anymore.

So, have you noticed that Joe Biden, a moderate, is still leading in the polls? There are some far lefties running—Kamala, Warren, and Bernie. None of these 3 will be the nominee. Dems want to win so they will pick a more moderate candidate. Nancy Pelosi knows what she is doing and will keep everybody in line.

She seemed to know what she was doing, until Trump threw that twitter storm curve ball at her. Her initial reaction seems to be rather inept on the face of it but it'll be interesting to see how she tries to recover.

The geriatric wing of the dem party does seem to be trying to hold things together, but that just got a whole lot tougher.

And we have a geriatric President, so that complicates things.

Part of the issue is that like Hillary, Biden is problematic. He's old, he's all over the board flip flopping and then there's the foot-in-mouth disease he's always had. The Dem's learned nothing in 2016 when they didn't have plan B, because it doesn't seem like they have a viable plan B in place this time either.

If he's our best chance of winning the White House, I wouldn't be so optimistic.
