i dont necessarily agree with the lazy part, though some do fit in that category, but the bad decisions part is true. a lot of people make bad decisions when spending their money, like buying TV sets they cant afford, putting to much stuff on credit cards and paying the minimum payments, etc.

Accidents, emergencies do happen, but for the most part, they were not raised correctly. The laziness and bad decision making is a result of that. Not living with ones means is a result of that.
Plus the welfare state encourages too many to not better themselves.

Yes, take a roommate. Then, when the roommate doesn't pay his/her half of the rent, you end up with an eviction on your record. Good luck getting a decent place to live then.

There are two primary reasons for suffering financially.

1) Poor personal decisions and poor habits -these people are also usually Democrats and expect others to take care of them and play the victimhood role.

2) There are systemic reasons for poverty, such as areas that have been controlled by Democrats for decades, like inner city areas, where there are no economic opportunities because of Democrat policies.

Is this part 2 from a previous thread or did you just wake up from a dream and wanted to post about it?

There is always an excuse when things go wrong.

That falls under the "bad decision" part of the scenario.

I roomed with many people over the years, never had that problem.

You pick the wrong people to sign a legal contract with? Yeah, well ooops...bad decision.

I've never had a roommate. I've seen other people with bad roommates who failed to pay their share, stole from them, ran up the phone bill and caused it to be shut off, etc. After going through all I went through with that thing I was forced to marry when I was a child and seeing all these people have trouble with roommates I figured it would be better to live in my car than live with a roommate when I was at a young age and stuck with that. Plus, around here one bedroom apartments rent for about the same as what a two bedroom costs with a roommate so why put yourself at risk when you can get a one bedroom to start with?
