In the IAAF World Relays 2014 - Women 4x800m Relay, the US team of Brenda Martinez, Ajee Wilson, Chanelle Price, and Geena Lara defeated a Kenyan team to win. You can see them here proudly unfurl the flag and take a victory lap together (view @ 1:52 if you wish to skip ahead).

Cl__ass (in this case the 'cl' could stand for clueless):

Here Megan Rapinoe knees during the anthem, on foreign soil no less. She can be seen kneeling @1:00

This was in Thailand, where Rapinoe and the US women went back this year, running up the score to 13-0 in an utter display of unsportsmanlike behavior. The team was also widely criticized for over-the-top celebrations. One Canadian commentator said of the US women's team:

Quote:
“As a Canadian, we would just never ever think of doing something like that, ... For me it’s disrespectful, it’s disgraceful,” [Kaylyn] Kyle, who retired in 2017 after winning 101 caps, said on air. “Hats off to Thailand for holding their head high.”
Kyle subsequently said on social media that her comments had prompted death threats.

Meh. I don’t get what the point is supposed to be.

I shouldn’t protest because YOU won’t? That’s Unamerican.

Sorry you miss the point. Where did I say you "shouldn't protest?"

Do you remember the black sprinters giving the black fist salute at the Mexico Olympics from the podium in the 1960’s. Rapinoe was wrong for her public protest but why are you people so obsessed with symbolic gestures instead of substance.

I admit I have somewhat tried to avoid Rapinoe, but when I've heard her she says nothing of substance. It's just a bunch a empty prattle. Can you cite a quote from her where she says something of substance?

Her speech after the parade was very substantial and had little to do with politics but I understand why people that dislike her wouldn’t be watching.
