Regurgitating Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Faux News on an hourly basis bring up these sorts of hypotheses.

As I say every 4 years, regardless of which party wins the quadrennial Theater of the Absurd, write down all the doomsday stuff you think is going to happen in the next four years, seal that up in an envelope, and then hide the envelope in a drawer. 4 years later, open up the envelope and look at the list...and you'll see none of what you were scared of actually happened.

The next Democrat president will:
  • Increase the national debt and pay intellectually dishonest lip service to doing anything about it...just like every President of either party before them.
  • Ebb and flow the number of troops garrisoned around the world...just like every President of either party before them.
  • Blame every problem on the other party...just like every President of either party before them.
  • Do a whole lot of nothing, but take credit/blame for everything...just like every President of either party before them.
  • Do nothing about the welfare state, immigration, the coming entitlement crisis, etc...just like every President of either party before them.
  • Pick a SCOTUS justice or two, making the other party freak out and declare the end of days...just like every President of either party before them.
  • Battle with a House or Senate controlled by the other party for some portion of their presidency, and blame the lack of miracle fixes from the land of unicorns on the intransigence of those evil "other Party Guys"...just like every President of either party before them.
And through it all, Americans will keep on chugging along, succeeding in spite of their government and almost never as a result of it. That's the thing...government yaps and yaps and yaps, but the reason things keep humming along is because we have all learned how to move forward in spite of their naked hostility towards us. If our last 4 presidents, arguably four of the worst people to ever hold the office, couldn't sink this ship...the ship might be unsinkable, at least by that one person in that one office.

This is no different reaction than what the left has of Trump or any other republican elected in the last 4 decades. I have learned over the years that life does not change much depending on who is president. Iím sure for certain small groups that may be different but not for the masses...yet. However, having said that, some of the ideas coming from some of the current candidates are unlike we have ever seen before, and would have profound effects on the masses.

You don’t think these things and more can’t happen in America? Just wait and see, it is coming. So, you better brace yourself.
It's the same old cycle: group of authoritarians take over, people live under oppression for a given length of time in a third-world *%^&hole, a generation comes along that is tired of it, revolution, freedom, complacency, back to beginning, repeat ad nauseam. We are between the complacency and group of authoritarians taking over phases. The miracle is that the freedom phase lasted over two hundred years. That's not very common in human history.

I never felt about another Republican president the way I feel about this one. I never even had much of a political conversation in all those years. I would have been happy enough with any of the other Republican candidates who were running in 2016. I can guarantee we wouldn't be at the bottom of this barrel had any one of them been elected.

In the minds of his followers, Trump has successfully identified the Democratic Party as being personified by back bencher first term congresswomen, or a liberal 80 congresswoman. All of the boogie people are female, liberal and non-white. They represent a side of America that scares the hell out of the Trump base. Trump HAS to keep his base in a constant state of fear to generate the largest turnout possible. There are pros and cons to having non-college whites as the core of your base. The positive is that they vote in large numbers. The negative is that their share of registered voters gets smaller every year, meaning if you get the same percentage and the same turnout of the vote from white non-college voters, you are harvesting fewer votes.
