Great article that shatters the myth that the anti-Trump backlash against him from liberals and Never Trumpers in the mainstream media is unique to him because of his behavior alone.

The backlash against Trump while unmatched in it's over the top level of hyperbole and shameless blatant dishonesty isn't unprecedented. Republican presidents and Republican presidential nominees dating all the way back to Barry Goldwater in the 60s have all been viciously attacked and referred to as Nazis by those on the left. The level of shameless dishonesty in misquoting and taking Trump quotes completely out of context in order to gaslight the public against Trump and Republicans in general thru the proliferation of social media is the difference with Trump.

The left viciously attacked GW Bush and constantly compared him to Hitler. I'm not defending W because he made horrible blunders going into and getting bogged down in Iraq which resulted in an incredibly expensive protracted war. He started the Patriot Act which in some ways has helped stop many terror attacks but in other ways has also been abused by intelligence agencies and unelected bureaucrats to weaponize these incredibly powerful new surveillance tools against their political opposition as there is growing evidence of in the Spygate scandal. Bush 43 had many faults but he was routinely compared to Hitler with practically zero repercussions to those who did so. He took all the slings and arrows with grace and despite not fighting back the mainstream media rarely relented. The financial crash happened on his watch so he has to bear some responsibility but the crash was triggered by a massive subprime mortgage lending regulation that was started by Democratic Senators and President Clinton in the 1990s. Ironically, a mortgage lending policy eerily similar to one Kamala Harris is now promoting

Romney, McCain, Bush 43, and even Reagan were all compared multiple times to Hitler so don't fall for the lie that "resistance" to Trump is only about him and his rhetoric. The "resistance" (i.e. to any Republican president or presidential candidate has been there going back at least 50 years now so don't be fooled.

The difference with Trump is that he's the first political outsider and the first Republican to dare fight back against the Washington establishment and liberal mainstream media's blistering attacks and the left and establishment RINOS hate his guts for it.

The left including the Democratic party and all their powerful mainstream media and social media supporters are going all in with every tool at their disposal in an all out effort to destroy Trump's presidency and any chance at re-election. No anti-Trump lie or blatantly false narrative is outrageous enough to the left and its mainstream media partners if it effectively gaslights the public into withdrawing support for Trump. No amount of unchecked illegal immigration or new "free" multi trillion dollar annual spending programs that are mathematically impossible to pay for without massive middle class tax increases is unacceptable as long as it results in electoral success and new government power for the left in 2020.

I can't imagine how bad the lying and gaslighting from Democrats and the anti-Trump media is going to get when we get close to the 2020 election. Especially if their desperate fishing expeditions in search of an impeachable crime come up dry or their Hope's and dreams of an economic collapse between now and Nov 2020 don't pan out. Just how bad will the TDS induced hysteria get if it appears that Trump's chances of re-election look good in the days leading up to the election?

So you want to say that stupid and idiotic behavior of Trump is not problem but when liberal(?) media is reporting from it, that is problem?
Some how it makes me always smile when Trump supporters explains how those peoples who don't believe Trumps liars and idiotic speeches, are liberals/lefties/socialists or what ever...Really?
Even weirder, Trump him self is so good buddy with dictators and communist.
