If you give someone money for one thing....that's less of their money they have to spend
..and the money they are not spending on that...they are spending to increase their infrastructure/energy
China, India, etc are building coal plants for energy....with the money they don't have to spend..and that increases their emissions

That's exactly the same as saying the UN is giving them money to increase their emissions...
...because that's the end effect of it

"Untrue Africa will be the most vulnerable continent."

Temperature.....the UN/IPCC says the tropics and subtropics will have the least effect in temperature change
...the most temperature change will be in the high latitudes

"per capita" means CO2 levels are going to increase

The UN/IPCC was formed...to fight CO2 emissions and global warming....in 1988

what happened after the IPCC was formed in 1988 > https://3c1703fe8d.site.internapcdn....rbonemissi.jpg

India is consuming 3 times more coal since the IPCC was formed > http://ift.tt/28ZO6zb

China is consuming 6 times more coal since the IPCC was formed > http://www.carbonbrief.org/media/257...-at-103518.png

If one seriously believes that within 10 or 20 years that we are heading for an inevitable catastrophe, why wouldn't they do everything they can to prepare for that as best they can?

Why is it "silly"?
I grew up during the cold war where people prepared for the prospect of nuclear war by building bunkers and stockpiling food.

What seems silly to me is the notion that people believe the world or at least society is in imminent, unavoidable danger, they have access to money that will soon become worthless, that can buy things such as food, medical supplies, guns, water, shelter but choose not to.

It begs the question : do they really believe this?
Not too many believe life will be over and the world will end in ten years. But scientists say waiting ten years will be too late to get the earth back on track to sustain life as we know it.
Just this July’s heat has been eye opening.

when it warm one place....it's cold in another...strange how that works

When it's 4 degrees above normal in one place...."scientists say" it's global warming

....but when it's 10-12 degrees below normal someplace else...at the same time...."scientists say"...nothing

The climate will change that’s a fact - and historically true. Can we do better with our nasty ways to treat the earth better ? We have in the past - why not now? We went after pollution, clean water, toxic waste , planting trees, stopping toxic bug sprays, and so forth. Panama this mo stopped plastic bags like PRico. Why not help the environment? Trash can’t be good anywhere ! Or if not go live in it. I think people who’ve lived in their woods can’t see the effects in the oceans. So to them- if it ain’t broke why fix it. Also those with the mentality - of “ me, myself, and I” don’t give a shyte anyways. But we should be good stewards - I though repubs knew that ?
