From the article. Wow, I didn't know boomers were split between right & left. I thought they were heavily right winged. And I thought my generation (X) was more left leaning. Either way, the Republicans are dying quickly. There won't be a Republican party much longer. It'll be like England or other European countries that have a moderate & a liberal party to choose from.

The GOP's voter base is literally dying out.

It's no secret that the Republican party is dying on a literal level. Statistics show that the party's voter base skews whiter and older. People over the age of 60 are the ones who are most likely to vote Republican.

The older you get, the more likely it is that you'll vote conservative. Generation Z has already shown that they are staunchly averse to conservatism—for the most part. Millennials identify as Democrat twice as often as they identify as Republican.

Among Generation X, the numbers still skew slightly Democratic. The number of right-leaning Baby Boomers is about even with left-leaning Boomers. Meanwhile, the Silent Generation is the only generation to pointedly lean right.

Republican candidates should be worried about their voters dying of old age. Eventually, there won't be people to vote for a rebirth of the Republican party, even if the electoral college would technically favor them.

I started out as a Republican, voted that way for years. But it became painfully obvious to me that the GOP was populated by a bunch of sour, white, old guys whose aim in life was to obstruct. They didn't care what the subject was, they just felt the need to be negative and to keep the other side from accomplishing anything.

We saw it most recently when Obama took office. They stood up there and boldly said "We are going to keep him on a short leash and prevent him from getting any of his agenda through." They didn't give a damn if that agenda was good for America, they just wanted to block it to "show him".

The Republicans are "half empty" thinkers, and the Democrats are more "half full". And things haven't changed, if one of those Republican representatives ever said something positive, I would have a heart attack.

Many snips from such a spot-on article but you get the drift. All Democrats should take the time to read this in its entirety as it does explain how the GOP is becoming a ghost and we can breath a bit easier in the knowledge that there is still hope for the planet and its inhabitants.

I gave you a quick rep. Thank you for leading those lost Democratic sheep down the rabbit hole.
Makes the win that much easier for President Donald Trump come 2020.

But those “anchor babies” are native born Americans and unless you think a futur Supreme Xourt is going to strip them of their citizenship, their votes count as much as anyone else’s.

Like it or not, the country’s demographics have irrevocably changed. It is what it is. Political parties have thr choice of accepting that reality or to try to politically benefit from the pent up rage of those who resent and fear that change. But if they choose the later, they know that any advantage will only be in the short term, with long term negative consequences.

Those 10 reasons why the Republican Party is dying has been pretty much the same since 1972....need some updates.

We're not dying out despite your hateful and fervent wishes to the contrary.

If we *were* dying out, you wouldn't be so eager to change the electorate by importing millions of illegals.

They’re already here. No additional immigrants need to come here to flop the country politically as long as the voting preferences of the demographic groups don’t change, and given the reaction of the R base to demographic change, that is unlikely.

Yes, and the Blue Wall will never fall.

10 reasons why the democratic party sucks:
1. Unethical liars run it
2. Leaders that have been in office since dinosaur age
3. Tax and spend, tax and spend, tax and spend
4. Hatred of free speech
5. National debt is now over 20 trillion
6. Obamacare failed
7. Everything and everyone they disagree with is a racist
8. Hillary lost - Russian collusion nonsense
9. Refusal to work with Trump on anything
10 And finally, their love of illegal immigration
