Of course. The republican fear mongering is only to keep their base voting for them.
But they know that they will never betray the part of their base that owns the companies that hire illegal immigrants, so they wont try to stop illegal immigration. tRump can spout all he wants, it will never get done.
But the base would never believe it when they are told that.
That is the Democrats' great weakness. Getting a few hundred thousand votes in one city is easier than canvassing an entire state of farmers, but the two senators, at least one representative, and the electoral votes balance the urban population. Without that disproportionate voting power, the nation's farmers would be ignored and forgotten until the famine starts. Even with that power, many farmers commit suicide when they can't pay their bills.
Interesting you would mention farmers, what with the 16 billion and counting in socialist farmer bailouts delivered by ya boy that were only needed because of idiotic shortsighted economic policies, also delivered by ya boy. In the future you may want to use a different example for your shilling.

Future voting patterns are unknown. Until 1960s the South was Democrat dominated. Whig party doesn't even exist.
GOP could moderate and gain voters. Democrats could split while GOP maintains solid though slowly shrinking voter pool. More political parties could form. GOP near total irrelevance is one of many possibilities.
The steaming pile just keeps growing with you lefties .... completely out of touch with reality. And this is precisely why democrat leadership produces one abject failure after another. You all never recognize the error of your ways, consequently, one can predict with great accuracy, the guaranteed scenario that you’ll keep repeating them. More on that in a bit ....

Pure projection coming from a group of ideologues who haven’t produced a single positive outcome in three plus decades, while endlessly barking the same fear based nonsense .... be afraid black people ... be afraid Hispanic people ... be afraid gay people ... be afraid women ... the Republicans are out to get you! America .... listen up .... Donald Trump is a Russian agent!! At this point, it’s beyond comedy, and entering the realm of abject insanity.
So, what happens when you reach this level of insanity? You have unhinged lunatics hijack the party, and watch them destroy whatever headway may have been achieved via the aforementioned fear mongering. Now you have the Democrat leadership in fear of what will be next to come out of the mouths of such lunatics like AOC, Omar, and their ilk. Pelosi and Schumer can no longer focus entirely on attacking Trump, as they try to figure out how best to put a straight jacket and a muzzle on these radical loons capturing the daily headlines with their anti-American, anti-Semitic rhetoric that has now become the gift that keeps on giving to the Republican Party. The inmates have now taken over the asylum, and even long time moderate democrats are recognizing the disaster unfolding. Forget capturing the swing vote, and the independent voters .... they’re gone. It’s no wonder why we see this total comedy of a democrat debate, with bus loads of candidates all trying to one up each other in the race to the bottom, doubling down on a strategy that failed in 2016.

Maybe things aren’t changing in rural Cow Patty, Texas, but even Texas is becoming less Republican by the day, led by it's changing Demographics and young college graduates attracted from other states and bringing their blue state politics with them. Look at the kids getting off the school buses in Tejas. They represent your future.

This won't be a baby boomer dominated society forever. Even if boomers are 100% Republicans, eventually Millennials/Gen Z are going to replace them.
Appealing to the same tired "Moral Majority" politics that dominated the 1980s may sell with boomers but it's not going to sell with younger voters. In about 10-15 years, there's going to be some major changes in our society.
Hate to burst your bubble, but Gen Z are not the liberals that article wrongly claims they are. According to the Hispanic Heritage Foundation, a majority of Gen Z identified as Republican in 2016. 46% of first time voters said they would vote for Donald Trump, vs only 30% for Clinton.
