There are many reasons Americans will continue to vote Republican, and being racists isn't one of them (well , I'm sure there might be a small group. ) but if the left keeps labeling anyone that doesn't jump over the fence to their side a racist, xenophobe, homophobe , etc...they will just ensure a GOP victory.
Keep pushing and see what happens.
If you candidates where smart, they'd let this get forgotten, pick some more centered candidates to represent your party then bring up the racism thing again closer to the election. This would probably guarantee a Democratic win. Currently , you've got the laughable "squad" taking up all the attention...not good for your side.
But Republicans call anyone who doesn't vote Republican lazy, socialist.
Both sides make silly insults.
I could say you have a racist President on your side -- who partied with Epstein.....I could argue that isn't a good look for you.
But that's a silly thing to say...and hurling personal insults does nothing......but bring us down to Trump's level of play.
Is it just me or does anyone else agree that Republican's dropped the ball on not condemning Trump's racist tweets? Condemning Trump doesn't pass any new legislation, it just sends the President a clear message they are not going to tolerate or support him if he says or does the wrong things. Silence on the issue isn't good enough, Republican's need to send a clear message that they are not going to back him no matter what. Not taking a stand only will embolden President Trump to do even more radical things in the future. They shouldn't support him unquestionably just because he is a Republican President, this is how dictatorships are formed, no one speaking up against what's wrong. When did this country become a Them against Us Nation? (Republicans vs Democrats)
1. trumps comments while rude, were not racist
2. all those 4 have done since they got in is condemn America and show their hate for this country
Russia, Russia, Russia didn't work and was revealed as a hoax and failed coup attempt by the Democrats and Media. So now, Trump is racist. Another lie.
Actually, the Russia thing turned out to be very true. Remember, one of the main reasons people gave for voting for Trump was "well, at least he's not Hillary. I mean he's bad, but she is a murderer." and it turned out that was Russian Generated Propaganda retweeted and repeated by Hannity, Breitbart, and Trump himself.
Considering he only won on electoral votes, and several of those states were on a razor thin margin, if just a small fraction of the people stated this as a reason (there were many) had not been fooled by Russian propaganda, then we might have a different President. just saying, your example doesn't really help your case here.
Also, "go back to XXXXX" is absolutely a Racial statement with a history. I lived in Charlotte NC in the late 70's, when public school bussing was still relatively new, and I saw first hand how the white kids used to taunt the black kids to "go back to Africa". Like the squad, all the black kids were US Citizens, and more than 75% were born in USA (I knew these kids).
Trump either is such a racist that he thought just because they were brown, they were from "craphole countries", or he's such a liar that he didn't care. if it's the latter, that is bad enough, but even still, any honest person can't escape the fact that he was pandering to his racist base by race-bating. ANYONE knows that "go back to #####" a racist comment.
Plus, it was not an isolated incident. Trump has a racist history, going back to his father's fortune, through Charlottesville, through his illegal ban on Muslims and many more stops along the way. Support him if that's what you want to do, but don't feign ignorant. You may be ignorant (I don't know), but you're not ignorant of the fact that his comments were race-driven and devisive. Nobody is that ignorant. NOBODY.
Most americans agree with him. So the republicans were right to respect what America thinks and we don't think it was racist.
There was zero wrong with what he said.
"Most Americans"? Sure about that? Sure enough to speak for the majority of us? Tell us about your methodology. The fact that 57% of Republicans thought it was fine simply reflects what a very small minority of the country that is.
"...A clear majority of Americans say President Trump's tweets targeting four minority congresswomen were "un-American," according to a new USA TODAY/Ipsos Poll issues of patriotism and race. More than two-thirds of those aware of the controversy, 68%, called Trump's tweets offensive...."
I've heard people say it is not racist and no different than the bumper sticker that says "love it or leave it" next to an American flag.
However, I do think the GOP should have condemned the tweet if not as racist at least as against the principle of a democracy allows for change. You can love your country and want it to change for what you see is the better.
Trump's tweets were not conducive to proper discourse or good governance.

It seems like most people today believe time should have frozen in 1955. The world doesn’t work that way.
Just read a story where Trump said he didnt mind being called a racist. Nice. Must be a tough life knowing you cant condemn some one because it goes against your party, when you know its wrong. Thats just living a lie. Does these people have mirrors in their homes.
You clowns have called everything racist so much that word has lost any significance. The butt hurt is strong with this one.
