Country has amnesia, it seems.

The calls for impeachment, which will likely go nowhere, are due to Trump being unfit to govern, and the racist outburst it only the latest example. One of the main priorities of the president is to be the chief ambassador of the US, and Trump is the worst this country has ever been.
If "unfit to govern" is the new standard opposing parties should have perpetual impeachment hearings in Congress. What a load of ####. lol

If economy is great why call for impeachment?

Seriously?!?

Impeachment is a constitutional remedy for having someone in office who has engaged in criminal activity, corruption or other high crimes.

You don't know that?

With black unemployment the lowest in history, Dems see that as a threat. They may leave the Party, the war on poverty has been going on since 1966. Finally some light at the end of the tunnel. Opportunity for everyone......

I keep searching for one specific policy of Trumps that can account for low unemployment other than the tax cuts, maybe you can help me out.

Because he's a bigoted fool who is making American society more divided. Oh sorry, I mean he's unfit for office.

The economy has NOTHING to do with the reasons to impeach a sitting president at all. This is a baseless straw argument.

Impeachment has nothing to do with the good things the President may or may not have done, only the bad things. Take Nixon, he did a lot of good things for America but he violated the trust the American people put in him to put the country first, so he got impeached.

The House has two questions to answer: (1) has Trump committed an impeachable offense, and (2) if so should they initiate proceedings?

On (1) it seems likely he committed obstruction of justice, which is one of the charges against Nixon and was a charge against Clinton. The Mueller report indicates that Trump did obstruct and that is why the Dems are anxious to hear from him next week.

On (2), even if Mueller confirms there was obstruction, the House has to weigh whether they should pursue it. The Senate is not likely to convict solely on obstruction. But remember that Nixon's crimes were not uncovered until after the House opened proceedings against him. So the House needs to assess whether there are likely more serious crimes committed that will be uncovered in the proceedings. I would guess they will look hard at campaign finance violations and emoluments.

Lastly, the House might decide that Trump has acted so incompetently and put America in danger that they decide the American public needs to hear about it so they initiate impeachment solely on the obstruction charge to use it as a platform to air his dirty laundry.

I think Pelosi is a smart, wily politician and she won't impeach unless it is clearly in the country's interest, or the Democratic party's interest, and so far she doesn't see that to be the case.
