When I was a kid in NJ in the 70s/80s we used the rhyme fairly often, but only the “tiger” version. I didnt even know about the original version until I was an adult.

I was raised in an entirely white and Hispanic neighborhood in AZ and only the really bad kids said it.

As far as CSU having such a Document, they must have too much money to waste hiring a person to write it up.

With the way these people get offended or might get offended at this and other colleges because of certain words, some people should not be allowed to breed. Admittedly, some words should not be used.

To attend this school, you have to pay around 27k-28k and receive leftist ideology rammed down your throat.

You're better off staying at home and not spending a dime at that school.

Some of them are common sense, while others are just a little too out of context.

Like it's wrong to use homosexual for gay, but it's also wrong to use straight for heterosexual? The pairings are always gay/straight or homosexual/heterosexual. Only people with too much time on their hands would think that.

Taking "free speech" one step further, CSU also recommends avoiding the following words as well: handicap parking, male, female, ladies and gentlemen, straight, normal person, war, cake walk, “eenie meenie miney moe,” Eskimo, freshman, “hip hip hooray!”, hold down the fort, starving, policeman, and Mr./Mrs./Ms.

This is actually NOT a joke. Keep paying that exorbitant tuition! The article with all of these "banned" words is linked below:

I had to check that one. Seems there is a mistaken belief that it was originally some kind of code phrase for hunting Jews.

The Anti-Semitic Origins of “Hip Hip Hooray”

For example, did you know that Hip hip hooray! used to be a Nazi war cry used to invade the Jewish ghettoes during the Holocaust?

It has been suggested that the word "hip" stems from a medieval Latin acronym, "Hierosolyma Est Perdita", meaning "Jerusalem is lost",[8][9] a term that gained notoriety in the German Hep hep riots of August to October 1819. Cornell's Michael Fontaine disputes this etymology, tracing it to a single letter in an English newspaper published August 28, 1819, some weeks after the riots. He concludes that the "acrostic interpretation ... has no basis in fact.".[10] Ritchie Robertson also disputes the "false etymology" of the acronym interpretation,[11] citing Katz.[12]

Oh, this is no idle navel-gazing exercise. The more the cultural authoritarians can control your language, the more they can control you. That's why it's important to push back against this nonsense with double-barrel middle fingers.

They are going after the "Don't Tread on Me" - Gadsden flag as we speak. Knew that was coming and of course the SJWs are calling it racist and white supremacist. American flag will be next.
