I think these junior House members are just that. Junior.
There's a lot in the media about them because, like Trump, they are all over social media and very outspoken. The reality is that they don't wield any magic power, nor do they make people not vote for a viable candidate for POTUS.
They are members of the House, that's it.
Pelosi has more power, factually speaking, and she won't stop anyone from voting for a viable Dem candidate, either.
No more than McConnell stops people from voting for what they see as a viable Republican candidate.
That's not how voting tends to work.

How do you figure? If 51% of those who voted had pulled for the other guy, then he would have won. Turnout is always low in primaries and typically works against low-funded newcomers like AOC.
Learn how the system works.
Lol. You obviously don't know how it works.
What is best for an incumbent is an average turnout.
What is worst for an incumbent is a low turnout.
See attached chart from the Carnegie study.
But look at the positive. You learned something today. You're welcome.
You're right the ruling class has largely won the war against the working class. The vicious class war on labor unions starting from the late 70s onwards has been a huge success, and 40 years of wage stagnation and social despair for the working class has been the predictable and designed outcome. The ruling class wont give up without a fight, after all, power is taken, not given out of charity.
The middle class who want their efforts rewarded are the people who have rejected unions.

I generally agree with you. I also think that if Trump and others are successful in giving the impression that they are the new face of the dems that I think it will truly hurt the dems. The swing voters and the purple types aren't down with them. That is what the poll is showing, I know it's not scientific, but it shows a leaning.
The Dem front runners in the primaries are giving a message that to me, as a moderate, am not liking. I ain't the only one feeling this. I'm seeing it all over.
I used to be a Dem, used to always vote that way. I used to be when they seemed to care about the middle class working man and appeared to be more for the American worker in general.
I think a lot of people are under estimating the larger picture here. Trump is going to completely conflate the squad with the Dems. He has a unique way of doing things like that.
You add the Dem frontrunner far left proposals that they are pushing and it gels nicely.... for Trump.

Really something to think about here.
Trump will only be able to do that:
1. If the media is complicit (likely they will be for $$$$$$$$$)
2. Until the Democratic nominee is named. Then Trump will be busy demonizing THAT person.

It's not just it.
Trump has turned these women into the face of the Democrat party. Just a few tweets and the leftists progressives go on a multiday outrage which the crooked MSM loves to play up as much as possible.
CBS gave all 4 of them airtime this week. Omar & AOC are the gifts that keep giving. The Democrat party doesn't know what's hit them across the head.
As I have said on many posts on this subject, a moderate is someone who supports neither the extreme left OR the extreme right. As far as my voting record, I voted for the Democrat POTUS candidate from 1972 through 2008 (that means Obama), and my votes in 2012 and 2016 were protest votes for third party candidates. In 2020, unless a Gabbard or Delaney is the Democratic candidate (doubtful, I know), I will probably vote for third party again unless it is a very close race in Wisconsin between an extreme left candidate and Trump, in which case I will probably vote for Trump (and hate myself for doing so).
And, yes, I am in favor of a national health system (as I have said in many of my posts), but I am even more in favor of not having the extreme liberals ruin this country.
All democrats who support a national health care system are labeled extremists. They are the far left fringe of the democratic party because they dont take bribe money from big pharma and the insurance lobby.
Which senator did you vote for and who are his or her major donors?
A moderate is a centrist which has nothing to do with denying healthcare to anyone.
A centrist is someone who appeals to the biggest number of big money donors. They are in the center of the big money train and do not upset large numbers of powerful big money interests.
A politician who do not take bribe money can not be a centrist by definition.
