Breaking News: Trump falsely claiming he tried to stop ‘Send her back!’ chants.
Trump got this rally mess going with remarks mentioning Omar last night by name at 16 minutes into the speech. The crowd booed and hissed, yelling her name and other chants and then quieted. Trump watched this while smirking. Then he mentioned her name again and lied about her. The crowd broke into "send her back" chants for more than 13 seconds. Video of the rally shows Trump did not try to stop the “send her back!” chants. He stood passively onstage surveying the crowd and waited for the chants to die down on their own before resuming his speech. Within seconds, he was again back to criticizing Omar. And even another time he again suggested that Omar and other critics leave the United States.
The President of the United States is lying to America and to his followers and to the world about the obscene events of last night!
This is par for the Trump course.
One could even surmise that he is placing the blame on his followers. OOPS their turn. Who is going to speak up for them, now? Following four days of tweets and verbal attacks on Democrat congresswomen, meant to stir his base, Trump, this morning, lies and says he tried to stop the chants.
It must be disheartening and demoralizing when their guy whips them into a misogynistic, xenophobic and racist frenzy and then blames the chanting mob for his own unabashed bigotry!

This is so sad how obliviously Trump supporters have exposed their souls to America.
It's no longer an argument that the GOP might tolerate racists, but they don't impact the platform or message. It's no longer an argument that the racists are a marginal slice of the GOP, not worth focusing on.
There's no longer an argument that there's anything wrong with being a "racist" the way you use the term.

So we need to destroy a country for having different beliefs? Sure there are anti-American Muslims, just like there are Christians who think gay people should be killed.
There's no longer an argument that there's anything wrong with being a "racist" the way you use the term.
If you're okay with that "racism" that says minorities don't get a day on how the country is shaped, that's on you. I think it's disgusting, but I won't be the one lying about it when I get called out.
