This is Lindsay Graham in 2015/2016 when he told the truth and wasn't afraid of Trump's nasty vindictiveness. Trump hasn't changed and he is now relying on an even more overt and blunt racism than he used in the campaign of 2016.

He now sees a clear danger of what could happen if the left gets power and how they will abuse it to destroy people that don't agree with them. There are reminders of that everyday that seems to keep him on the right track now !!!

Please, he said Trump was a racist before he got the nomination and has been kissing Trump's corrupt ass ever since because he is the party's guy. It is politics as usual but not because of Kavanaugh, it is because he is party before country.
Faris writes Democrats have to recognize this reality and act accordingly, especially now that the Republicans are poised to conquer the Supreme Court for a generation.
Only the more reflective Democrats such as myself are in panic mode. We are watching a clown car careening off a cliff. Debates that are a race to the bottom, with twenty candidates that outdo themselves in histrionics. These include attacks on America, attacks on productive groups of people, and identity politics. No one is a more radical progressive than I am, but I don't spend my time tearing down what's been built. You can't redistribute that which isn't created in the first place. People are not prepared to give up their standard of living to deal with the global warming apparition either.
