If only Native Americans were still living in the Americas, I doubt Comanches or Sioux would let Mayans and Aztecs flood unchecked into their territories.

All citizens of the u.s., ? no, all men ...

And they say immigrants need to assimilate into understanding what it means to be an American.

Immigration laws exist for a reason in modern, advanced economies. If you can't accept that very base premise, then yours is an extreme minority position.

Only two types of people believe in unfettered immigration: bleeding heart liberals, and libertarians. Only the libertarians, however, have a morally and economically sound position on the issue, since they want to do away with all types of social welfare. The liberals hold the inconsistent position that you can fight poverty, reduce crime, increase the welfare state.... while allow resettlement of a billion people into the US from the most poverty stricken parts of the planet.

Naive foolishness. Liberals are absolute children in their thought processes. Pollyannish dummies.

No? It says what we as Americans believe about the equality of human beings ... and yet it gets proved over and over again that Americans do not believe in their own adopted declaration.

This is an honest question to all people advocating for the rights of "undocumented immigrants". Why do you think they are a righteous cause?
Why do people think it's ok to benefit from illegal labor instead of fixing the immigration system?

You know who has torpedoed immigration reform every time over the last decade? The GOP!

Hispanics do not have the right to be in our country illegally just because they may have some Amerindian blood. Only those tribes that settled within our borders have an inherent right to be in our country. Hispanics who are citizens of another country only have a right to be in their own countries not ours unless they came here legally and/or became naturalized citizens of our country.

Do you think that the preamble stands for the proposition that there should be no immigration laws? Because "everyone is equal"?

Is that how you're trying to justify an open borders mindset?

Nah, it's people like you who don't "get" how things like "laws" work. Might be why you have such a confusing time with this "illegal" vs. "legal" immigration thing.

Case in point: My family are LEGAL immigrants. People running across the border or overstaying visas are ILLEGAL immigrants.

People who are here ILLEGALLY need to go "back to where they came from."

It is quite a stretch to interpret equality of human beings with allowing open borders.

It's all about votes and amassing electoral power in blue states. Immigrants from central America and Mexico WILL give birth to Americans who vote democrat. If they voted Republican... Democrats couldn't build a wall fast enough... its politics and nothing more despite the bleed heart bs they'll try to sell you

Correct.

Native people that were here first seem to always be portrayed as the good ones but for the awful Europeans they would have lived peacefully and benevolently.

Yeah, right, like tribes never raped and pillages other tribes.....
