Did the Democrats filibuster Republican efforts when they had all branches?

Donald Trump. He even offered citizenship to the DACA kids crone is supposedly so concerned about all of the sudden. But no, the Democrats wouldn't compromise even then.
I wonder how many times the liberal posters in here have to be told that most illegals aren't working in the farming industry and that there are unlimited visas for legal worker before they stop repeating themselves?

I agree with you. It's already in motion. We are headed towards socialism.

"Without the Democrats constantly obstructing, there’s no way you can do it. Without having Democrats voting, there is no way you can get this done," he said. "The Democrats don’t want border security, the Democrats are okay with crime – but we’re not okay with it."

"We need Democrat votes," he said.

While Republicans have a majority in the Senate, there are enough Democrats to allow them to filibuster funding for the border wall and increased enforcement as Trump wants.

They didn't need to because they made it very clear that any attempt at including border security in a bill would be DOA.

If you don't think that "free stuff" is a major component it proves that you don't get it!!

Children of "asylum seekers" were separated from their parents under Obama and not one of these "compassionate" liberals spoke up. They're just being led around by the politicians in Congress and the media.
Not only that but a liberal judge put an end to it a year ago and yet they still keep harping about it as if it's still going on. Most of those families that were separated have been reunited anyway. We don't put kids in jail with their parents and some or many of these kids weren't even with their parents but were brought here by child trafficers. They go on about some so-called cages also when it was Obama that put them in such confinement areas. A cage is usually something that is barely large enough to hold anyone and that's not what they were anyway. Just more melodramatics by the liberal left and pro-illegals.

Then there is the need for farmland in order to feed everyone.

Do you have any idea as to what it would cost to put in the infrastructure in these places? Our existing infrastructure is crumbling and, due to huge population increases, some jurisdictions are forced to decide to either spend money on new infrastructure or spend money repairing existing infrastructure.

Where do you expect all these people that you want to put in "empty" spaces supposed to do for work?

Then explain the vast majority of Blacks who work (majority of Blacks work for a living) who vote Democrat. I'd rather vote for someone who says "you need help and I will help you" over someone who says "you're lazy, you're a leech on society". Same goes for any other minority.

Ask Lyndon Johnson.

Oh, calm down Our economy will not "crumble for a generation". Illegals have displaced Americans in many jobs. Greedy, sleazy employers love hiring cheap, exploitable, illegal labor. They get to pay them less and get away with putting them in unsafe working conditions.

When ICE would raid factories, Americans would line up to take those vacated jobs. In the case of Howard Industries in MS, some Americans drove as much as 40 miles for a chance to get a job.

Any business that caters to illegals or hires them is a diseased business that needs to die. If they don't want to die, they will have to hire Americans and legal immigrants plus pay them a living wage and provide benefits.

There are many in the construction industries who lost their livelihoods because they couldn't compete with sleazy contractors who hire illegals and pay them under the table. With illegals gone, these honest contractors will once again be able to compete on a fair playing level.
