The demographics of the country have already changed due to the native born children, grandchildren and great grandchildren of illegal immigrants. Even if the gate was slammed shut now it wouldn’t make a difference.

If mass deportations happen, it will most certainly make a difference.

That's why the left is so desperate to decriminalize entering the country illegally. Nevermind the victims of human trafficking, child sex rings, drug overdoses, and murder at the hands of MS-13.

There is nothing the left won't accept in their quest to recapture power.

Mass deportation would crumble our economy, for a generation.

The Republicans are the ones that refused to expand e-verify when they had the chance recently at the behest of industry.

Let's not forget Reagan's amnesty either.

Oh, I haven't forgotten Reagan's amnesty. The Democrats reneged on EVERY promise they made to secure the border following that bill.

Just stop. Everything bad is the other teams' fault. The Republican's had control of the White House and both houses of congress enough to fix whatever you think the ds broke. Did they? Wonder why not?

Could it be because the National Chamber of Congress, the Hotel and restaurants associations and food processors are their constituents? Look up how much Texas homebuilder Bob Perry donated to Republicans.

Lightbulb Why do people think illegal immigration is right?

This is an honest question to all people advocating for the rights of "undocumented immigrants". Why do you think they are a righteous cause?

Your premise is flawed.

It isn't "people" who support illegal immigration.

It's so-called "American" corporations that hire them by the millions. And they do that to undercut the US workforce. Having this large pool of sub-minimum wage workers available holds down pay and benefits for the rest of us.

Illegal labor = corporate welfare.

Now, if you're referring to the inhuman conditions tRump is holding asylum seekers in along the border, then that's a different topic. They aren't illegals. They turn themselves in to authorities and expect due process. What they're getting instead is disgraceful and below any standard of decency.

Also, it wasn't the Republicans who opposed e-verify it was the Democrats. Last time a Republican introduced and e-verify bill the Democrats would not sign it unless there was a mass amnesty attached to it. Trump has had e-verify in his last two budgets but I'm sure the Democrats opposed it just like they did in the past. Someone in here needs to get their facts straight.

You’re not going to deport American citizens.

We still need to have limits on the number of asylum seekers we allow into our country and most who are seeking it today do not have a viable reason to do so. Wanting better economic opportunities is not a viable reason. Even violence in one's own country isn't. I'm with Trump they should have to ask for asylum in the nearest safe country not pick and choose which one they want asylum in which is usually Uncle Sucker.
