1. K-Mart is no longer a competitor on any level that matters. Walmart has 4,000 stores, 3,500 of which are super centers. K-Mart has +/-300, depending on how many got closed last week.

2. The more competition there is in any market, the better for consumers. Would you rather have 20 competitors or 2?

Wal-Mart already killed off Mom and Pop stores selling new stuff. These days Mom and Pop stores are about used merchandise. Sell what Wal-Mart may never do.

Many Trump supporters will still brag that wages for low skilled workers are on the rise, without mentioning it is because of minimum wage increases which so many Trump supporters were against. We were told it would lead to a disaster in unemployment numbers. Then they brag about record low unemployment numbers.

Where can you live like a king on $15 an hour after the taxes have been taken out of it?

Only in some low pay states, such as Arkansas where the minimum wage has risen now to $9.25 and will go up to $11 in 2021. It's unemployment rate is 3.6%. Compare that with Alabama where the unemployment rate is 3.7% with minimum wage of $7.25.

How does raising minimum wage make slaves out of people?

Perhaps they should tell us what the people on a fixed income, the disabled those on Social Security will do. Given i think the avg SS check is 1100 a month and everything from rent to food will go up if anything like this actually passed. Millions go from being poor to instant poverty.
This!

Plenty of Trump supporters were against all minimum wage increases. And then they brag about high wage growth for the low skilled and record low unemployment.

Its ridiculous.

And cost of living differences are exaggerated when excluding housing, which isnt a cost, its an investment.
