Her 3 siblings (Leila Nur Said Elmi, Mohamed Nur Said Elmi, and Ahmed Nur Said Elmi) were given asylum in the UK and eventually got UK citizenship. The Omars, (an unrelated family that was being given asylum in the US) allowed Ilhan's father, her sister Sahra and Ilhan to use false names and apply for asylum as part of their family.

You can read the rest of the story here where all of the proof is laid out for you in the sequence of it happening when she was an adult here:

If she's smart, she sure doesn't show it as she left a big legal paper trail and social media postings (which she subsequently deleted) that make the case against her.

The bottom line is she perjured herself 8 times (documentation exists - see link above) and Minnesota law allows up to 5 years in prison for each time she did it. But she could also be in trouble for federal tax fraud, student loan fraud, immigration fraud and marriage fraud.

I think the person who may not finish their term is her...that is, if the law is applied fairly.
Power line blog? You think that is a credible source? What’s the matter no YouTube videos?

These investigative journalists have been investigating Omar for close to three years - long before she ran for Congress. You can discount their reporting all you like, but they have built a strong case. I expect this will only grow louder over time.

If that was true, it would have to have been before 1829, the year his Great Grandfather, Johannes Trump, was born in Bavaria. I think it's a myth started by Trump haters, because they like the sound of it. They made it up, in other words. Wikipedia says this claim cannot be substantiated.

Progressives think it’s real cute to call him by a name of their choosing. These of course are the same people who insist that we refer to people by their gender of choice, but when it come to a non-progressive, all bets are off.

Did you click on the links in the article? The articles being referenced were by David Steinberg who has written for The Wall Street Journal, Fortune Magazine, Washington Post, etc.

I don't get why some posters automatically dismiss something without even taking a cursory look which would have informed you of the facts.

A note in Wikipedia says the claim that the name Trump was once Drumpf cannot be substantiated.

Yep. Their work contributed to Omar having to refile her taxes, correctly this time, and pay up and settle with the IRS for committing tax fraud. She fraudulently jointly filed with a man while actually being married to another. She owed the IRS several thousands of dollars more for the 2 years she committed tax fraud.

When there's a legitimate news story on a neutral news site then I'll pay attention. For now, I'm ignoring this story about Rep. Omar. It's trash.
According to whom, is PowerLine "not a legitimate source of information?" If it suits your political leanings, does that make it "a legitimate source of information?"

I also found it interesting that she claims her marriage to one of the men was a “Muslim faith marriage”, yet they were married by a CHRISTIAN minister.

This is a good example of not properly vetting those that jam their way into our country pretending to be a member of another family.

Shut this imposter down.
