The federal government's Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has already told us Trump's tweet is considered racist.
But racist people like to claim they're not racist if they're not out in a hood. They like to ignore the more subtle forms of racism because they think they can plead ignorance.
Since “conservatives” have no problem making common cause with true white racists, like Richard Spencer and David Duke, it’s only natural that they eventually feel no shame in their association and actually take pride in it.
“Conservatives” and alt-right racialists share their hatred of white liberals, whom they consider race traitors.
It makes it all simpler when “conservatives” drop all pretenses and show what they are at heart.
Supply a quote from a prominent conservative or elected Republican who advocates ' common cause with true white racists, like Richard Spencer and David Duke.' The conservatives I know want nothing to do with them. Last I heard, David Duke was trying to make common cause with Rep. Ilhan Omar (over her anti-Semitism.) Meanwhile, President Trump has built a 67% approval rating among Israelis.
I would not jettison the word. Instead we need a massive awareness campaign re the racist nature of the proliferation of false accusations of racism, such as those against President Trump. I call it crypto-racism. The intent is to divide and isolate Americans along racial lines, for purposes of political gain.
crypto-racism. i’ll buy that.
good post.

eagerly awaiting the response to this but sincerely doubt bureaucat will have one.

How did conservatives get lumped in with racists?? That seems to be the deal now, at least coming from the left.
I'm not a conservative but as I understand it cons typically want less government over-reach, less taxes, more autonomy at the local level. Less government programs and things along those lines.
As I understand it conservatives don't have to automatically be religious bible thumpers and the like.
How did being for less government automatically morph into racist. I have a co-worker that thinks literally all conservatives are mouth breathing southern red-neck racist inbreds. I'm not kidding here.

What am I missing here.
I too would like answers to this. I am not conservative either. Remember in 2008 the 'Journolist' scandal where some left wing pundits were caught plotting to pick some random conservatives,
Quote:
“Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”
One would think that 'call them raaaaacist' would have jumped the shark with that, but no. Here we are 11 years later, and the beat still goes on, stronger than ever.
Another self loathing liberal who thinks only white people can ge racist.
You got that from one post that I made. I've posted many times in other threads that anyone can be racist.Even in the post from me you quoted, I said that people can be racist toward whites. Don't assume you can get to know a poster from just one post. You can't and you didn't.
