I didn't realize that there was an international embargo on British oil sales for sponsoring terrorism and to pressure racial murders in their leadership to give up their nuclear weapons program.

So now the UK gets to enjoy being stuck with a problem they begged us not to create lol.
Exactly

The Iranian oil tanker was heading for Syria, that is why it was seized.

There are international sanctions in relation to supplying Syria with certain commodities and arms.

In terms of the so called British Ship, it's actually a Swedish owned ship and Stena is a Swedish crew, whilst the 23 seafarers held are nt British, they most likely come from the Phillipines, China, Russia, South America etc, as these are countries that often supply cheaper employees on international merchant ships.

The ship was most likely reguistered in Britain, in relation to tax and other regulations.

As for those captured each nation along with Sweden and the EU will now also be involved, and Iran could face further sanctions.

In terms of the British position, they can keep the Swedish ship and the crew are not British, and there is no need for any action other than following the US and putting massive sanctions in place in terms of Iran.

There's no need for Britain to do anything except follow the US example in relation to sanctions, and the EU and others need to do the same.

The Obama administration joined the United Kingdom, Russia, France, China, Germany, and the European Union and created the Iran Nuclear Deal. The nuclear deal stopped Iran from developing nuclear weapons and lifted sanctions on Iran (making Iran and the world happy.)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran_n...deal_framework

Trump then abolished the nuclear deal, militarily threatened Iran, and put painful economic sanctions on Iran. Then Iran resumed developing nuclear weapons and started these present military conflicts. And if Trump didn't abolish the nuclear deal none of these conflicts would be happening.

And in the near future advancements in computer and medical technology will allow countries like Iran to create biological weapons capable of killing millions of people. And Trumps Iran conflict is making Iranians hate America even more (increasing America's future chances of being attacked with biological weapons.)

Trump said these recent provocations by Iran "proves me right." I recall a state of the union address in 2002 where Iran was part of an Axis of Evil. Hopefully the squad can keep him distracted long enough so real world leaders can work on it.

The president isn't aware of how slow the diplomatic process can be when you deal with world leaders who run their country for their entire lifetimes. He thinks there is a quick fix. He should have left the previous administration's band-aide on and placed his own on top of it How many American Presidents did Castro out live? The State Department should abandon the phrase regime change and quit using words like democratic reforms. In many parts of the world they equate those words with all that is wrong with America.
