I can see us get to a point where the left always controls the House and the Presidency, and the right always controls the Senate. Remember, every state gets two Senators no matter their population, and I believe rural states will get increasingly frustrated and the Senate will go farther to the right.
So what will happen when the Senate constantly blocks the liberal House and liberal Presidents from getting everything they want year after year?
I think you are correct that we are going to be in perpetual gridlock. What happened to even a bipartisan infrastructure bill?
The Senate will remain on the right and block initiatives from the more liberal House. I do see more purple states emerging if or when younger people get more involved in voting.
The next election will determine which way the voters are now leaning. When the Electoral College decides the winner over popular vote it is not a true reflection, although certainly legal under our Constitution.
That's what the brainwashing by the public schools system and the MSM has done to the population.
Be ye hot or cold. Being passive about the killing of the unborn is not something to brag about or be proud of. Shunning Biblical Godly values because one might be seen as a "religious zealot" is the coward's way.

The problem with this nation is that those in control tried to bury any knowledge of God and create a system in which they are the power in control of our destiny and many bought into it.
Hopefully those with a pure heart will realize the Truth. THAT is the solution to our problem.

If white evangelicals attempt to FORCE all Americans to submit to a religious code and adhere to a strict patriarchal social order and forcing women back into the home, that's when there will be a revolt. If evangelicals attempt to FORCE gay people back in the closet under the threat of arrest or extermination, that's when we will have a revolt. If evangelicals attempt to ban science and force fundamentalist religion on public school children in it's place, there will be a revolt. If we start to see a religious crackdown on the entertainment industry and artistic expression, there's going to be a backlash.
These people can't even keep their own morals in order. Hardly a day goes by where you don't hear about some preacher or priest molesting a child yet you believe these are the people who should rule over American society with an iron fist because they are morally superior?
A large number of people want this to happen and these are people who currently have a lot of power in the US. If we can last another 10-20 years the risk will become less.
And this will be the cause of the civil war if we have one.

Lumping people together as "white evangelicals" is the tactic used by anti Christians to create an environment of hatred and bitterness towards any moralistic values.
You are judging Christians by the actions of some posers who are religious, but are not even remotely genuinely Christian.
That is the problem with our country. People who think like this want to "live and let live" as long as we can kill the unborn, have transgenders influence our children and teach sexual perversions to our kids starting in kindergarten. Sorry, not an option.

There will certainly be heavy resistance and open revolt against any religious attempt at forcing anything down peoples throats via government. By the same token it will be the same against extreme leftists attempting the same with their take on forcing people to accept their stance under the rainbow banner and the virus of socialism. Either extreme end could spark civil strife.
I do not think we will have outright civil "war" but there could be significant unrest and conflict between the two far ends. It bears pointing out that we who lean more right than left are not in keeping with the evangelical movement and in that same vein neither are a great many if not the majority of "liberals" in keeping with the extreme left. The number of "conservatives" and "liberals" who are now registered as Independents outnumbers both Dems and Pubs combined.
"White evangelicals" and " leftist extremists" may be loud but their true numbers are insignificant. As are their views. And there are a lot of people like me out here that aren't going to put up with either ends s***. We disagree (vehemently) with religious power being in charge of what we see, think, read, say, otherwise express, live in general and the list goes on. We also disagree (vehemently) with far leftist doctrine governing us forcing us to watch flamboyant "Gay pride parades.", forcing us to use "gender neutral speech," put us all on government run health care, throwing our borders wide open to all comers, slashing our military to nothing so as to fund their "social programs," use our schools as indoctrination centers, determine everything according to skin tone and making everything from our national symbols to our clothing something "racist" and the list goes on.

I’m not a religious guy and never, ever feel guilt/judgment from society for not being religious, my teachers/professors in public school/college never tried to make me religious, and I’m never bombarded with religious propaganda from the media.
