I hear people convinced that the 2020 democrat candidates have gone extremely left and are all calling for open borders. They don’t seem so crazy when you compare their policy positions to Reagan, Bush and other republicans of the past. To my understanding most of them support comprehensive immigration reform bills similar to the one supported by George W. Bush in 2007 and the gang of eight bill in 2013 (Lindsey Graham, Marco Rubio, John McCain, Jeff Flake). Nothing extreme about that.
