That doesn’t help him though. He clearly came in and verbally attacked her... and pointed for her to go somewhere. You can tell she was taken aback at first and then got angry.
There isn’t anything to charge him with though. He was rude and disrespectful but that’s not a crime.
A Publix employee told a Cobb County Officer that she witnessed part of the conversation and heard Thomas “continuously tell Eric Sparkes to ‘Go back where you came from!’ but did not hear Sparkes utter those words to Thomas”.
It is clear that he kept pointing early in the convo. Thomas acknowledged that she told him to go back where he came from after he had said it to her. From the video, it looks like what happened. He said it to her, thus him pointing in the video. And she said it back to him, evidenced by her pointing.
This did not turn out well for the lawmaker and it should help Mr. Sparkes’ defamation suit against her, should he chose to sue. How flipping arrogant to think she would get away with it and then doubling down on stupidity and hubris.
The last thing she expected was for the guy to go to her press conference and defend himself. She probably expected this to never go beyond “white guy” in store tells her to go back where she came from.
What kind of psychopath has sympathy for someone who executed 17 people?
Families of Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz have taken note of Erica Thomas’ support/sympathy for the mass murderer. In a now deleted tweet, Erica Thomas wrote:
“My heart goes out to Nikolas Cruz!! Some don’t know how to cope with being an orphan. I think God every day for getting me through the system in one piece.”
Actually, this shows she has a heart. I had some sympathy for him too after finding out his mother died and he was crazy. That doesn’t mean we like what he did, or what the police didn’t do to make sure he couldn’t get his guns. He’s not ever getting out of prison, and that’s a good thing.

Of course it doesn't help him - there's no audio.
He approached her and....verbally attacked? You can't tell what he said or what she said in return. He pointed - probably to a sign showing it was an express lane.
What it doesn't show is her fear. She claimed she was afraid of him.

No kidding there is nothing to charge him with - he was telling her to go back to the non-express lane that she came from, and where she belonged. The rude and disrespectful thing was her thinking the 10 item limit didn’t apply to her, but that’s not a crime.

Most normal people at this point would be embarrassed for the way they acted in public and go their separate ways. She escalated the situation with her FB video claiming she was in fear for her life and later meeting with the news, hiring an attorney, filing a police report, calling him a racist, etc.

Just as the guy said, he pointed to the '10 items or less' sign and she walked toward him. he walks away and she still walks after him. You can blame the guy for using the dastardly b word, but anything else is your imagination and desire to find a racist 'white' guy where there isn't one.

She lied about what he said though. Probably for political gain.
She's the personification of every ratchet twitter user. Loud, clapping, stomping, deflecting. Yeah, he should have just went home instead of getting mad over her grocery skills, but she's the one looking like a real-life caricature.
