This is my first summer this far "up north" in SC and I'm driving around with the windows open..no AC yet.
Imagine how much hotter it actually was, given the humidity. Yikes. There's hot and then there's Texas hot.

SC weather has to be one of the reasons so many people move there when they retire. You must be freezing!

Are the temperatues they report fake? If not is is just factual. Weather reporting has been part of news reporting for a century. Are you claiming media hype is centuries old?

I was in central Texas..low humidity. When you went in the shade you did feel cooler.
It is a drier heat as opposed to closer to the coast like Houston where the humidity climbs.

I actually got here in March. You're right it was darn freezing here and while I was at my hotel in a sweatshirt the Canadian couple in the next room were down swimming at the beach !

I figure I'll acclimate within a year or two and then 85 will feel hot to me. But I was in Texas for 24 years so I got pretty used to triple digits and how to adjust so you're not outside during the hottest part of the day.

The numbers are correct. It's all the adjectives they are using that bolsters the hype.

What adjectives? No news agency I have watched mentions any thing political like global warming. It is just record heat wave. That is news enuff. Are you trring to spread fake news? Seriously. Post your evidence.

Jesus Christ, calm the hell down. I didn't start the thread and I defended the weather coverage.

Again, you're arguing just to argue. Run along, sonny, I'm not playing your game.
