I disagree - the fabricated Steele Dossier was the basis (illegal/unverified) to obtain FISA warrants to 'surveil' Trump, his campaign AND his family! And the original FISA 'Page' warrant was reissued three times, the last time under during Mueller's investigation!
So, how can you possibly say that the Investigation (Mueller's focus) was not on Trump's campaign?

The dossier was not the basis for the investigation, besides it was renewed several times under Sessions, different judges, NSA, FBI, DIA heads. Then there is the fact that under a prior warrant Page actually ked them to Russian spies back in 2013 so he does have a history, I don't see how they spied on Trumops family since he left the campaign around September 2016 and had no position under Trumo.
The Russians began to impact the election in summer in 2016 under Obama, but they agencies didn't realize the real impact of their actions until late summer early fall. So yes Obama was president but I don't expect there was much he could do in September 2016 other than expel diplomats. But if you want to cast blame you need t to include the senate and house intel committees that received the same briefings.
An even bigger one though is our own MSM and social media.

Our biggest threat is media. They are not presenting objective news. They are not presenting ALL the facts about something. They are cherry picking and leading people down the wrong path.
Questionable media has existed for decades, even centuries. Remember the term "yellow journalism"? Even Benjamin Franklin practiced it. It's not a threat to our democracy; instead, journalism is an important component for maintaining our freedom of expression. It's up to you and everybody to look at multiple points of view and then decide. This is still available to all, despite the politicians best efforts to suppress it and the Russians to obfuscate it. Just look at different, respected news sources, then sew the information together to form a more complete picture.

The vast majority of Fake News ("media") today are all about pushing a left-wing agenda (communism).

Rice told them all to "stand down" so they did nothing. The Obama administration was first notified of this in 2015.
Now we know why no one had ever seen or heard Mueller say anything prior to the disgraceful show he put on yesterday.
He was probably senile two years ago.
He was probably the only person that that both sides would approve of to have his name on the investigation. The fact that his mental capacity has diminished greatly the past few years was not important. The DEMS pushed the issue of him speaking in public and we see the results of that.
