Fairly certain at this point we can agree that all politicians are puppets. Very few of them manage to vote their conscience and when they do it's contrived and calculated.
How many times have we seen 3-4 Dems either not vote or vote against their party only because the votes were meaningless? It's a joke.
McCain lost all respect when he sided with the Dems to bust ACA out of spite toward Trump. He was a hero, but also cared more about revenge than the country with his dying vote. Saddened me.
ACA was shoved down our throats even when more than 70% of us said we didn't want it. 9 years later the exchanges are all busted, deductibles skyrocketed, nobody kept their networks and doctors (PERIOD).
I had to pay an extra $1k in taxes last year for not being insured.

The Hispanic population is 57 million in the US, I believe that is only the legal population. Add another 20 million or more for illegal so your comparison isn’t even close to a comparable situation.
On top of that Mexico isn’t exactly a safe place nor is many South America countries. Common sense (that liberals lack) tells your we need to control our border and make all immigrants go through the legal process. It’s not hard people, now get congress to understand

Why would I? Our state has no immigrant problem (or very little) because we are decent people who pay high wages and generally follow the laws.
Texans and Floridians who profit to the tune of billions should petition their GOP Legislatures who - right out loud - refuse to do E-Verify because they claim they need the economic boost of immigrants.
Here in MA. we have no "problem" with immigrants that hasn't existed for 100's of years...that is, nothing much has changed ever....except they have come from different parts of the world and we have integrated them.
The result? Highest education levels, highest GDP levels, etc....in the USA.
