Yup. The Remoaners got the upper hand on that one. He was double crossed during the first round. Well. He did what should be done. Let them have at it, they failed, and now the membership has voted, very decisively, to put him in the role.

No he didn't.

YOU are 100% wrong.

Boris Johnson basically ran the leave campaign but he was never running for election.
After the referendum, David Cameron resigned as Prime Minister and Leader of the Conservative Party.
Very shortly afterwards, Boris Johnson announced that he would not be running for leadership. He was never in the running.
Teresa became leader and gave Johnson the job of foreign secretary.

Boris Johnson didn't announce he would run until after Teresa Mays resignation earlier this year.

Did you not see where I said he was double crossed and ended up withdrawing from the race?

But you do make a point about introduction to the Queen.

So if May still had a majority why did she loose the position? I thought she did not have the votes needed to pass Brexit?

He wont get a majority, they will end up in a hard exit starting over and there will be complications with Scotland and Northern Ireland down the road. This is not the person you want leading complicated detailed negotiations. I give May credit for trying to come up with a reasonable exit, we will see if Johnson's bravado remains. I don't think he wanted any part of this but since he was a pime Brexiteer it would have been an embarrassment.

I think you’re right, I was there during Brexit vote, I think Gove double crossed him.

I didn’t know he was born in New York City, that makes him US citizen.

I was there for the Brexit vote.

Boris Johnson never announced he was running in 2016, despite speculation and expectation that he would and NEVER ran against Teresa May.

Waldo Kitty's claim that:
"He did run for it before and against Theresa May." ...
... is false.
