Check this guy out.
Edward Dutton is a genius professor, and funny, but extremely British. You might want to skip to around 17:35 where he becomes fully coherent.

His theory is that the people we used to call witches in the old days were mostly just unattractive, unwanted women with lots of mutations who looked odd, were disagreeable, and advocated weird ideas and lifestyles that threatened the social order. Such people used to die in plagues and famines. They were shunned and persecuted so their numbers and influence on society was limited.

Such is no longer the case and, alas, "witches" abound.

So... there have always been "witches" -- odd, unhappy, genetically less fortunate women who don't fit within normal society and hold a grudge against it. But they never really flourished until the invention of gender studies, Twitter and SJWism. Now we are living in the age of the witch.

There's no such thing as a witch. They're just weirdos. It sounds like that is the point the guy in the video is making, in which case, I agree.

That said, as long as they aren't hurting anyone and they leave me alone, let your freak flag fly and keep casting your worthless spells.

He's not talking about the very small number of people today who actually try to act like witches, casting spells or whatever. He's saying that the women we used to accuse of being witches in the old days were actually the maladapted, odd looking, SJW, gender ***** political radicals of their time. They were suppressed then, but now they are flourishing.

Sounds like you're nostalgic for witch burning.

A witch does exist. It's called an SJW liberal/conservative nagging Flat-Earth mother-in-law that lives in a van down the river with a Chris Walken-sounding, silent film-watching vegan cannibal zombie moose named Seymour.

Well, this is mostly true with one huge missing part. If one looks at the history, of say, the witchcraft trials in colonial America, these women and sometimes men, were those who violated social norms and mores and as a result, paid the price for their actions. For example, many of them would behave badly towards their neighbors, let their animals out, try to harm their crops, etc.

So, in a sense, dealing with these 'witches' was a way to encourage everyone in society to follow the norms. Perhaps we need to bring back witchcraft trials today, so some of this b ****** will understand that if they want to succeed, they need to acknowledge societal norms, not attempt to change them.

Not really historically supported, but you do you.

Where do I even start??

Iíll keep it simple witches were more or less early day pharmacist . They helped deliver babies gave men medication to help um... stay strong in the bedroom, etc. They are who you went to if you or a family member got sick. And yes witches still exist. Is this the right place for this topic?
