Like Cohen, Manafort, and all the others Trump knows in prison, if Epstein can keep himself alive for a few years, he'll get a "get out of jail for free" card from his wingman Trump.....

He's trying to get the no bail ruling reversed by showing he is at risk in jail. Too bad. His victims were at risk from him continuously and he sheds no tears for them.
Just put him under 24 hour suicide watch instead. I guarantee he won't like it. Which works for me.

I'm presuming if they're asking that question, then he wasn't separated from the rest of the prison population, which surprises me--folk who commit sex crimes against children are considered 'fair game' by other inmates, and his case is pretty well known.
If he wasn't separated, I'd say attack. If he was, I'd say either genuine or fake suicide attempt.
Epstein was housed in the most secure area of the prison, 10 South, when he was first arrested earlier this month.

His lawyers filed a petition asking the court to release him to house arrest in his Manhattan abode. He may be faking it to add an 'I'm unsafe in prison' bullet point to the argument.

Reportedly, Epstein is in isolation in a locked cell.
He was found in a fetal position with marks on his neck.
Epstein’s injuries were not serious.
It might have been :
Attempted suicide, or
Staged to appear to be an attempted suicide, or
Staged to appear to be an attempted attack, or
An actual attack by one or more with access to his cell.
One would think there would be cameras in the area.
Where is the tape?
If he has proof of notable, powerful figures engaging in activities with underaged girls, one would think the very last place he would want to be is out on bail.
I'm not thinking any Clintons are skulking around the prison like gangsters.
