Saw this on the news this morning. What is really pathetic, is how it is so obvious many of the forerunners in the race are just pandering for votes.
All the top candidates spoke about Trump being a racist, and Trump needs to be impeached, and Trump this and that....come on, is that really their platform ?

Some of the lower tier candidates were really trying to just get what they stood for out to the crowd. Kudos to them.

All seemed guilty of just telling the crowd what they want to hear. Biden mentioned that there are too many African Americans in prison....well WTF, stop committing crimes and maybe that will stop.

Forgot who it was, but they brought up the children and schooling, and the gap in education. Well, we currently spend more per student in the Detroit public school system the in Birmingham (a very wealthy district) , maybe something else is the root cause of the education gap ?

Income inequality was brought up, well if people aren't graduating or barely graduating chances are you won't get a job as a CEO.

All these were talked as if they were victims, and the Democrats are there to help them...SMH.

What the NAACP should have done was bring someone like Candace Owens out that isn't going to tell them what they want to hear but to actually talk about solutions and how to change the things they don't like.

"As a race, you are inferior; therefore, we promise to have special programs and rules allowing you to compete against superior races."

And the crowd goes wild.

There is a National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP). Isn't that racist and exclusionary? How come there isn't also a National Association for the Advancement of Pigmently Challenged (NAAPC)?

Also, I am a Italian and get a good tan in the summer, does that make me a person of color? At least for part of the year?

Deflection. Why omit the main takeaway? A thread about the NAACP without mentioning they voted unanimously to impeach Trump? Or is that why we get a thread denigrating the meeting?

"...Members of the NAACP voted unanimously on Tuesday calling for President Trumpís impeachment.

Delegates present at the civil rights organizationís annual convention in Detroit voted in favor of the measure, according to the groupís official Twitter page..."

"Trumpís misconduct is unmistakable and has proven time and time again, that he is unfit to serve as the president of this country," NAACP President Derrick Johnson tweeted...."

The Democrats are so condescending to Blacks, Women, and LGBT that they should all be insulted.

How is my post deflection ? Things that were actually said there aren't deflection. And I didn't bring it up is I don't care...I've been hearing the "impeach" rhetoric for so long now it is starting to sound like the teacher from Charlie Brown.

Want to impeach Trump...go for it.

The Democrats' dreams of impeachment are about as likely as the best D&D player in high school hooking up with the head cheerleader. It could happen, but the stars would have to line up just right. Nobody really believes Trump is getting impeached, and nobody really cares. It's a talking point that convinces the uninformed that the Dems are on their side, despite all evidence to the contrary.
