We do need a new law that specifically bans conspiring to accept, knowingly accept, or passively accept electronic hacking, cyber attacks, and disinformation campaigns. These types of efforts generally don't have tangible value. The law also needs to require candidates and officials to report offers of foreign intervention to the FBI.

There is no legitimate reason for the Republicans to kill this bill.
There is no point in passing any bill !!!

Democrats have demonstrated if they don't like a law they will ignore it !!!

Why should the GOP pass laws only they have to comply with ?

Even indirect contact from any foreign agent with an offer of literally anything, to ANYONE connected to a campaign must be reported within 1 week to the FEC, else face prosecution for federal crime.

So much room to abuse that law...it staggers the imagination.

I already posted what the head of the FEC stated.

People bashing the Repubs but yet can't defend this bill ?
I found nothing new in the bill that isn't already law.
If it is already illegal, what is the GOP/trump doing to punish Russia?

Seems like we have a nasty habit of screwing with everyone else.
Well, that's different!

Asked that very question several times myself. Also note that it woulda been different if the so called Russian 'meddling' was intended to help Hillary.

'm pretty well convinced that it was a Hillary scheme that backfired.

Just your daily dose of democrat outrageously outrageous outrage.

Since Mueller fell flat, time to look for something else. Back to Trump's taxes again ?

Nothing has been proven. Nothing.

And our FEC laws pertain to Americans. Why are you deflecting to Russia ?
