Well when Clinton had a 70% rating he had a pretty good economy, so why hasn't Trump broke 50%. "It ain't the economy stupid" this time around, its the presidents behavior.

Misleading thread title.

RCP average is mostly unchanged even factoring in this poll.

If the past is any guide, then the polls won't really matter in determining the outcome of impeachment until the very end of the affair.

Nixon's approval was at 79% when the Watergate hearings began. By the time the hearings were approaching their conclusion, his approval ratings were down to 20%. By the time he resigned, they had dropped to 17%.

High or low, his approval ratings never changed or stopped the hearings despite the Nixon administration's best attempts. The ratings didn't drop suddenly; they went up and down in jagged steps, but the overall trend was steadily downward until there was one big drop close to the end.
That was when the Nixon supporters decided the game was over and there was no way out for him.

It was also what Goldwater and the other Republicans took to the White House to convince Nixon to resign before he was impeached.
Nixon was delusional by then, spending his nights in an alcoholic haze talking to dead President's portraits on the White House walls. He was not ready to give up until he saw the results of that poll.

Even drunk as a skunk, he knew then the game was over, and wrote his letter of resignation in less than an hour after the group left.

Not just 24/7 negativity from MSM, but all of Hollywoods constant vicious attacks, our complete education system attacking him and other conservatives, and the big tech companies committing to sabotage his election and to censure conservatives.

Favorability with farmers increased today to 75%.
Trump got Japan and a few other countries during the U.N. summit to commit to buying lots of our farm products.
Plus Chinese tarries are bringing in 65 billion and hes giving approximately half of that revenue to help farmers.

In other words Trump is engaged in a wealth redistribution scheme. Trump taxes Chinese products that are paid by the American public and then redistributes that income to farmers in the form of welfare payments.

Trumpers are so dense they don't realize they are de facto socialists.

Trump's approval ratings have been pretty much steadily tanking, although the polls in favor of his impeachment are climbing higher.

And kudos to 538, which is keeping a detailed statistical poll regarding impeachment approval.

Remember when Michael Cohen testified under oath that he was assigned to go out and pay to have polls rigged for Trump? Wonder who has the assignment now.

Except it's NOT going up. It's going down. Support for impeachment IS going up.

I don't know that any are 'lying" but online polls are notoriously easy to manipulate.
