Again, the money that is given to Israel usually comes right back to US shores because they use it to buy US defense equipment. About three billion in purchases of F-35 aircraft from the USA in 2017 alone.

The "aid" also includes joint US-Israeli missile defense developments (the Iron Dome is tech translatable to US application).

I mean, I don't think we should be giving any aid to any country in that region, but in terms of money well spent, it's not even remotely as problematic as the aid given to various countries in that region that goes to who knows what about.
So welfare is a good thing?
In that case, why dont we hand every American a million dollars since most of it will be spent here?

I'm an older Millennial and my view on Israel is nuanced. Given the amount of historic and present antisemitism it makes sense for Jews to have a state where they can live without being a tiny minority of the population. Everywhere else Jews live they always have to have an escape plan if antisemitism suddenly surges. There are dozens of Arab majority / Muslim majority nations in the world, there is only one tiny Jewish majority state. Around half of Israel's population came there from other nations in the Middle East, they all didn't come from Europe. I also don't like how Israel is gobbling up land beyond the borders that have been agreed to. Palestine deserves to have an independent state and that makes it impossible.

The cognitive dissonance with these "small-government" conservatives/libertarians is jarring lol. It really is PATHETIC...

I remember PragerU (standard conservative/Republican site) having a Youtube video where they advocated sending even MORE foreign aid to Israel!

Thankfully they got EVISCERATED in the comments section and rightly so

Do progressive millenials embrace diversity and human rights in all foreign nations, or only Israel. Compared to its neighbors and most other nations, Israel is a model of decency in tolerance of internal differences and human rights. Overall, compares well in freedom of speech, press, assembly, thought and religion; individual and political rights; peaceful internal change and transfer of power; treatment and rights of lgbtqetc., women, non-white Jews; and other measures.

Millennials mist have reasons other than human rights violations to focus solely on Israel. Whether it's because the U.S. supports Israel and/or AIPAC and Jews control the U.S. and/or Israel doesn't belong anywhere in what's called Palestine territory, or something else, you tell me.

The question as to who does human rights violations is not either/or. The reason many Millennials and others are angry at Israel is because, unlike the other countries you are referring to that do human rights violations, Israel pretends to be a bastion of democracy for all when it is in fact an oppressor that does human rights violations based on religion and nationality. That is not a democracy. Israel pretends to be the victim when in fact it has been the occupier, oppressor, and aggressor while loudly crying democracy and innocence and victim-hood; no wonder the USA has a strong affinity for Israel; that's exactly what we did in our past and still do now.

Then you would have no problem with giving a 100k handout to every US Citizen since it will all be spent here anyhow, using your logic. The trillions we have spent in middle east wars was all for Israel as well.

We spend alot of tax payer money on Israel with 0 in return.

So? Shouldn't be our concern.

You better hope the US never pulls support for Israel. Because if Iran or any other jew-hating islamic army starts to overrun the country, Israel will nuke them. And that will change the face of the planet forever.

Israel's enemies want their extermination and they live right ... f--king ... next ....door to them.

You keep pushing them, and you are not going to like the future.
